Naming rights is worth potentially hundreds of millions also.

Of course but like anything if not more so, renaming your home has to work on alot more levels than taking shirt sponsors.

No one mentions the shirt sponsor, but anytime anything happens in your stadium its mentioned, in our case, globally because we have more events over a diverse number of "subjects" than any stadium in the world

Hence when it was mentioned by Levy before he said he could have done loads of deals for it but it had to be the right brand for the right partnership for the right money.

As mentioned tons on here, not many big clubs go down the route and we do have a brand an identity to protect, thats linked with the stadium.

Linking this to the story of the moment, you don't also investigate someone who might have been too protective of the brand, you might say "they over valued it" but its much better to be that way than to say "well Levy sold it out for quick revenue and totally under valued a deal we are now stuck with for 10 years"

Ultimately the Lewis' can do what they like now with it and sell it for whatever they like, not much to investigate in that respect

Are some of these figures being bandied about naming rights figures believable , here is a list from one website , if Barca are getting 20 mil euros a year can't see us getting the reported £20 mill wanted.
Also the figure of £10 mill quoted for Everton can't be per year , just a look at HillDckinsons accounts shows the turnover at £145.3 million and Profit for the financial year before members'remuneration £58,576,000 ----- not sure what members remuneration is but Evertons namimg rights can't be £10 mil per year on turnover of £145.3, more like £1 mill per year over 10 years
