It would be an outside investor, so they get new shares. The proportion of shares that Levy would own would reduce but their actual value would remain the same.

Idk what % he owns but if it took it below 30% is it, then his control is less etc. But I suspect it is chinese whispers relating to levy not wanting to put cash in (whereas the Lewis' with billions didn't mind investing).

Again, to go over that % it needs Lewis or the Trust now. Everyone knows who owns Tottenham, if Levy was being a blocker they'd just go straight to Lewis if they were serious. It smells of pure BS.

If it's an official bid (like cain hoy, then you have to inform all 30,000 shareholders) If it's someone in a meeting asking if the club is for sale and the answer is no. That's it.

Cain Hoy never got to an official bid. They're not going to waste their time on all shareholders when only one matters. Once they know it's a go then they'll start the official bid process.

The financial side 100% is BS levels of reporting. The clubs accountant and lawyers have direct lines to Lewis and the accounts are scrutinised annually by firms appointed in part with Lewis and joint decision making.

This new idea that Levy was acting like a lone wolf is utter garbage

Cain Hoy issued a statement about their interest to comply with stock exchange rules. Tottenham also issued a statement.
Their interest was made official.

Could this not just be a "let's look at what DL did and see if we can improve on it to get us to the next level" review?
It could well be that, it also could be, let's see where we can take some more liberties on the financial side. The way its been reported and digested by some is that this is a look into mishandling, which it wouldn't be as Lewis and co knew everything going on, 100%

Will the proof of any of this be seen in January?
Or are we being buttered up for ready-made excuses when we have a quiet January?
Depends what money they really have
Said it before but they are asset rich as a family
Not sure about their cash status though
We do know they took out a huge short term loan early September which is he8ng paid for by this seasons income from TV I believe
And they also then added £100m into the funds
What that balances like is hard to gauge

The review by the Lewis Family Trust is understood to cover all commercial aspects of the Premier League football club’s operation, including how sponsorship agreements were structured, one person said.

Maybe they’re looking at how easily (or not) they can get out of any existing deals - useful if they want to sell up.
Or maybe they want to see if existing deals can be renegotiated on more favourable terms - not unusual with new management at the helm.
Or maybe they are questioning all the smaller sponsorship deals we have in place (eg Cadburys comes to mind only because I’ve just had some chocolate).
Or maybe there’s some kind of vendetta playing out and they’re looking to get Levy to sell up his share to make any future sale more on their terms.
Or…. Who knows. It’s certainly something that could have happened before if there was real concern. It still seems to me that it’s all part of the bigger get-the-house-in-order-and-sell-up picture, despite what has been said publicly.

They have some big deals to find, now Sons gone and AIA are downsizing significantly

I can’t see any way that they’re NOT gearing us up for a sale. Rule #1 for securing the best possible price - say you’re not for sale. Repeatedly!

They will 100% be looking for a sale. Especially after finding out how hard it is to operate successfully in this league, when they'll also realise that DL wasn't doing much wrong in terms of what is possible, while also doing a grand job FOR THEM.

100% we are for sale

The romanticised idea that the two kids are going to forgo their inheritance for 10/15 years in the peak of their life isn't one I believe, especially given that any real investment that needs to happen will have to come from another pot with their name on, which I just cant see.

Easy to forget that they are likely only involved to this level because their old man was up against it legally

Would be delighted to be proven wrong, just cant see it.

On the financial front I would have thought that Levy has been the best performing football chairman in the PL possibly the world and overseen the building of a superb stadium and training centre, maybe this is just a simple financial review of where to expand next .

Can't find Deloitte money league figures for the first years of Levy at Spurs, found 2005 and Spurs were 13th in the league with commercial revenue of 35.5 million euros.

In the 2025 table Spurs had commercial revenue of 297 million euros , that's a huge percentage increase, without checking guessing better than any other club bar inflated sponsorship etc.
On the commercial front can Levy be faulted ?

I think it’s fair to say the naming rights or lack of them is an area where Levy/the club have failed. In general I agree Levy was excellent re the commercial side, was the football side that let him down.
