OMT Mighty Spurs vs Hungry Wolves

lurker of old

Ronnie Rosenthal
Right then what's going on? Barely 24 hours to ko and not even a hint of an OMT.
So come on you keyboard warriors and AI manipulators, wake up, smell the coffee and deliver.
Wolves have a very nasty record against us and were going to need every badger, every Welsh love machine, every custard-soaked hooker to prevent the inevitable Docherty hat-trick.
Get to it, or there'll be trouble ahead!

It' usually a tough game against Wolves. The question is whether we've been making them look excellent or they're actually a decent outfit...

I didn't see the Donny game so not sure how that one impacted the starting lineup but no doubt Frank's team have looked into their strengths / weaknesses. It's still early days but I hope Simmons can really announce his arrival with a performance partially under the lights.

Ha, I just told a mate that I was seeing the game tomorrow, and needless to say he wondered what I was smoking yesterday! Doh!
Anyway, 24 hours, 48 hours, we need the OMT Gods to be pacified because having beaten Everton on Tuesday, Wolves will have 3 points in their sights....our 3 points.

Will be my first game of the season...I hope.

Booked flights for the Sunday kick off and the bastards rescheduled so had to write those flights off. Rebooked flights and a hotel for Saturday but my young fella has a game kicking off at 12:30 about 40 mins from the airport. I'm flying at 3:45 so it'll be straight from his cup game at breakneck speed to Dublin Airport. They better not go to penalties.

I'm sure after going to all that effort and expense, Spurs won't let me down...

What I'm interested about in this game is whether Joao Gomes owns our midfield again. He has done for the last couple of seasons.

My sense is he won't now that we have Frank organising us and they're bottom of the pile. He definitely should have moved on last summer.

Good player.

First game this season as well, luckily couldn't get suitable seats for the original kick off so hung off.
They do muck us around don't they.

The LURKER has SPOKEN! The LURKER sees time on THEIR scale not everyone elses. We should BOW to the LURKER! I believe!
We will now smash them!

Big game and very long trip straight afterwards, so id rotate/keep a lot of the Doncaster team:

---‐------------------Kinsky
Spence---Romero---Danso---Udogie
--‐------------Gray--------Bergvall
---Johnson-----Sarr------Odobert
------------------------Tel

Hmm, now I've got "Hungry like the wolf" going round my brain.

It is very important to me that Tommy Frank rotates well and fully across the Doncaster/Wolves/Bodo games.

We must protect our stars, other clubs are already starting to accumulate injuries (and of course we've had some ourselves already).

Better to get 30 or 60 mins from a star, rather than try for 90 minutes and put them out for a month or two.

Good reason to start Palhinha perhaps?

He has that "our midfield isn't going to get owned" quality.
You want to risk the likes of vdV, Palhinha and Richy, against the worst team in the league, few hours before we play up in the Arctic Circle?
For me the problem rarely is two games in a week. That seems mostly fine and manageable unless there's some ongoing injury/fitness concerns.

Three, four and then five games in quick succession (with two games a week) that's where the problems seem to arise. As @Bullet points out smart rotation across the games. For me no one starting Doncaster and then the next three, with only a limited number (if any) starting Doncaster, Wolves and Bodø.
