Finney Is Back

Where did I say that?I thought you said it was Levy's fault for dithering, which one is it?

lol…. ‘Top negotiator’Also, Levy is a top negotiator. How do you know it didn't get done because he did delegate this time?
There are press reports that explain why our first target was MGW and why Eze was a late push by us and they point to concerns over data indicating that physically he does not cover a lot of ground in games etc. The press reports paint this more as an overall club concern rather than pinpointed on Frank but thfcsteff claims to have insight that Frank wasn't a fan in terms of fit for what he looks for in the number 10 position but was talked into backing the move by those in the transfer team (i'm guessing Lange and co.) So much for the pivot to a "data-led" approach if true. What's this talk about Frank didn't want him?
A journalist doesn’t break a story that Arsenal have agreed a fee for a player at the time?…. Why not?!?Because someone outlined what occurred after the (sensitive) event. Always nice if it fits your narrative tho!
Yeah look at the scathing stuff Mitchell had to say about us after walking.Lange is a very good chief scout.
The question I would ask is whether a really respected DoF like Monchi would be prepared to work at Spurs where he is unlikely to get much responsibility from the chairman. The very best talent in any field won’t accept being micro managed. The likes of Hitchen will though.

Too many people passing judgement without a Scooby Doo what went on.
Also, we seem to have stumbled on a pretty good formation with Sarr playing as a false 10, so maybe this is a blessing?
No offence brain, but the good old 'let's evaluate at the end of the window' that gets trotted out every window after botched attempts is getting tiresome now.
We have had endless opportunities to kick on yet there is always some half baked excuse as to why. ENIC couldn't do it, followed by trying to paint a positive picture of the window all because we acquired one or two decent level PL players supplemented with a load of young hopefuls that we have to pray end up really good.
The long and short of it is ENIC have done well to maximise their asset, but if we ever want to kick on as a FOOTBALL CLUB then we have to have more ambitious owners. This has little to do with Eze, this merely just highlights the owners deficiencies because of how brutal this one is - We have been doing the same dance with transfers for years, nothing has changed regardless of how low or high our stock is....
Arsenal supporters will only be taunting us about winning Eze because they have won fudge all else.
Eze is not the player to get them over the line in the PL or CL.
Spurs will dither over another 3/4 players in the next 10 days before the window shuts and it will be another case ofWe now need to show our intent and get a solid player to help Frank and not one for the future. I’ll give you a clue Tyler Dybling is not the answer
Based on your narrative of the club, or what actually happened?
In a £60-70m deal with tens of millions in wages as well, do you think an agent and player would sign off quickly and ignore other opportunities? What you’re suggesting would need quite incompetent agents and player acting on impulse.
Maybe you could suggest that we acted too soon. We moved too early. Though we may not have raised the price 10m for the goons if we’d waited. I don’t have a problem with us being opportunistic. We still have the cash and a world of possibilities.
I think he did what he usually does and made it up.1. It wasn’t fully agreed. Heads of terms as it were may have been discussed - a broad outline of the deal in principle….without it being fully agreed.
2. Why do you think the journalist knew then? They probably only got the story recently.
And now im guessing we gonna be scrabbling around like dingdongs and end up getting someone on the last day who will be ready in 3yrs time. If we tinkling about for 68 for him. We are not going any higher for anybody else unless they feel desperate. Which honestly I dont think they do. So it will be back to making do with what we got and pushing another player there to "fill the hole:No way to dress this up. It’s obvious that we wanted him and dithered. However in my opinion he is overrated. He would have slowed our transitions down and is not a one touch player.
It’s just a kick in the teeth that he’s gone over to that mob. So it’s an ego thing for me.
He won’t win them the league his numbers don’t stack up for that kind of money. Arsenal will have two players in him and Odegard that play very similarly.
Had they got Rodrigo I would have dropped a brick.
We need a playmaker who can drop deep and hit teams on the break with pace and a decent ball player not one that holds the ball and does some tricks.
Good luck to him.

When did Eze become this hugely talented game changer that he appears to be portrayed as now?
He's 27 playing at Crystal Palace, how many caps does he have, why are only us and arsenal in for him, he's good but for me he's not a game changer for us and definitely not for arsenal.
He's an upgrade on martinili and trossard but I can't see him dislodging anyone else from their side.
You do realise good players producing decent numbers at lower level teams have their numbers go up? Look at how Rice has improved at them.No way to dress this up. It’s obvious that we wanted him and dithered. However in my opinion he is overrated. He would have slowed our transitions down and is not a one touch player.
