He’s got a face for radio and makes himself seem important … am I the only one who can’t stand him

I just find him rather slow and pedestrian, but at least trustworthy. He is usually slow at reporting what everyone else has already reported, but if he says something, it’s usually on point.

He has said in the past that he doesn’t report anything until he has had it confirmed by two sources. I don’t know whether that is still the case in the fast moving world of social media but if it is that would explain the point you make.

Yep, and he's one of the media that the club will use when they want to say something.
