That really depends how you define Eriksen and Alli, for me they work best centrally. Meaning we have Lamela, Moura for the right, and Son for the left. In which case Zaha for the left as well adds good depth.
Id still bring him in if we could do it without getting ripped off. If not him then someone for that side.
Of course it doesnt, they were never in the same areas of the team.

We don't really use sides. Just a combination of 2 or 3 of those 5 designed to be particularly effective against the specific opposition. Eriksen was playing on the right a lot against United, Alli more left, whereas Moura was central. Next week it will be different again

We really do. Of course players switch during games, and on occasion to start, but Son is predominantly LWF, Lamela and Moura are predominantly RWF.
Any/all can work centrally, but I do not think Son is effective on the right, or Lamela on the left. Moura is too soon to say.
There is room for another LWF. Especially when you consider Son is the primary back up to Kane and likely to need covering.
Alli/Eriksen are much more effective centrally, and only really "can do a job" options on the left.
Frankly, I think the only reason people argue against the idea is because its Zaha, justifications around not needing the options in the squad are flimflam.

Zaha was terribly demoralised by the Man U move debacle. He has taken a very long time rebuilding his confidence. He has been brilliant 'for CP' where he now feels at home and pressure free. This I think is the reason Zaha will remain at CP for the immediate future, £70m also make the likes of Levy think twice.

But the last third of last season Moura and Lamela weren't getting enough minutes for their form. 5 senior players for 2 or 3 spots is ample. If we need a 6th AM, it should be promoting a kid like Shashoua
If we do buy a LWF, ideally it would be one that can play LB too. So their primary role will be to replace Rose longer term, then be an option further forward.

Generally, more people accept teams need 2 for each position. Then youngsters there after. Its not a rule, of course, but generally accepted logic.
Except here, apparently, where instead of having two LWF, its preferable to have one (that covers CF) and another - if we have to - that is either a kid or a left back. Of course, that makes perfect sense....

You've missed Dembele. And I don't think there's much chance we will start with 4 AMs and only 1 CM
A lot of time we will play 3 CBs, meaning we only use 2 AMs. So do we similarly need 6 CBs?
I wouldn't be against replacing Llorente with a more Son-like back-up. But we don't need a 6th AM and a 2nd CF.

Alli and Eriksen have been playing centrally far more than wide recently, and I think its no real surprise - they both thrive there.
Neither explicitly a #10 either.
Our "wide" players, really, are our fullbacks anyway. Another LWF would be welcome, add strength, depth, and options. Especially as Son is likely to be needed to cover Kane. Id much rather another Moura type to come in than push Alli out there.

I must watch a totally different Tottenham than most on here as I don't see us playing in boxes on the left, right or middle, I see fluidity with players creating and moving into space all across the field, we struggle when we don't have than movement. Saha may fit in here, but anything north of 45m would be too much even at todays inflated prices.

Makes me want to slit my fudging wrist that people still think this guy is a player worth anything to anyone other than a lower level team.
Stats .. Zaha (a striker that basically plays every game he's fit up front for his team), has exactly the same number of goals as Lamela (a midfielder that is more of a workhorse than anything else for Spurs) since the 2013/14 season .. 28 ..
Son, Lucas, Lamela, Dele, Eriksen, 5 midfielders who are a better striker than this guy …

There was a short period in mid-to-late 2017 where he was probably within the right range in terms of affordability versus his worth to the team.
Now, with him earning 120,000 a week, and with Palace likely to ask for 75m+? Absolutely not, even if we by some miracle decide to spend more than 0.00 pounds at some point. He isn't worth that to us - and likely wouldn't be worth that to any team that comes in for him at that price.
To put it another way, Son does what he does, but much, much better, and costs us less in wages than Zaha would by a *long* shot.
