Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Ange has mentioned a few times about form a fitness with certain players
He sees the trading which we don’t and he can see the level the players are at
If I was speculating the only player who doesn’t seem to be at full speed now is destiny. I’ve seen him beaten in a race a few times now by inferior players
But Ange knows his level and where he is at better than me and I’m sure has a plan to get every player at peak

Some fans were saying last season that Ange breaks players in season 1. Then in season 2 their bodies are used to the workload and you see less injuries.

I'm looking out for that this season. I don't want to tempt fate but centre mid is starting to look way more robust. I'm still worried about LB though.

Reguilon is not as bad as people make out. Would rather play him than Davis. I don;t hate Davis at all, been a loyal servant, but at some point you have to be honest to yourselves, he is far too slow for Ange's system. Also nearly made a mistake as bad Drag's the other night.

I want us to win things, and to win things you need to be brutally honest.

Kulu is the same, Got the work rate of GHod and gives it his all, has some potential talent, but it is all let down by his decision making, his in ability to see what is going on around him most of the time, trying to run through 4 players, when a dink to the side can play others in on goal. On the right he is too slow and utterly out of his depth, in the centre he doesn't create enough. And I love the fella, great attitude.

And this then highlights a problem with Ange, he keeps playing players who have consistently failed to deliver and let us down on so many occasion. Son, Kulu, Romero, despite his goals Johnson, Maddison, Sarr, Bissouma, have all be playing way below par for months now.

Yeah , they might have a good game here and there, but on the whole? They have been poor and it is gonna take months of consistency to change this perception.

i think you will have to temper your expectations as the last batch of transfers showed that there is no immediate desire to win things.
however there is now a systematic attempt to build a team with a style of play from youth to senior team so maybe in 2-3 years we can start to think about winning something. Yeah its levy, not going to risk a lot to win things, entertaining football and suspense around qualifying for Europe is a financial sweetspot for now. He's admitted to us being uncompetitive after the stadium was completed too.

maybe ange sees this too and is taking his time to bed in a system/style of playing - who knows? then when its clear he might get more elaborate or start to adjust tactics to counter different teams/stages of play. I hope so, because if he continues thinking he can win by having less players at the back - he will find it hard with the quality of players we can afford.

The last batch of transfers have been to deal with the lack of club trained and home grown players we had in the squad.
We seem OK on that front now especially if the likes of Moore, lankshear hear, donley brak through.

We'll see with the next batch.

It helps when you play them in their best positions, also it's not about transfers. It's the mentality behind it all, and our up ancoming youngsters. Almost every other PL team bring youngsters and play them, putting their faith in them, then all the Tottenham fans are like, why don't we find the players... Well we do, but we never put our faith in them, then loan out for 6 years and wonder why they are never ready for the first team.

The only way to tell if player is going to do well, is to actually play them. Like Veliz, the guy has not had single bad minute on the pitch for us, scored a goal in what 30 mins of game time... Young hungry and like Kulu gave it all for the team... What did we do? Loan him out to a team that never played him, when we had no strikers. Then loaned him out a again, to a team that is creating almost zero chances every game...

What about Odebert? Played great on the left, played on the left for Burnley and what do we do? Play him on the right and wonder why he is not as good.

It's insane what we do, nothing ever makes sense. Kane played poorly at Norwich and if it wasn't for Tim Sherwood and a depleted squad on the forward front. Kane would never had gotten his chance and would have been another that we would have let move on.

We need to do this more with our youngsters and put our faith in them, what we are doing now is appalling.

We've had plenty of youngsters get chances and come through. Kane coming through had nothing to do with a depleted squad. He was given a chance in Europe and took it with both hands. The likes of Winks and Skipp have shown in recent years that there's a path to the first team. Even Tanganga got plenty of chances.

It doesn't need for them to play to know if they are good enough. Managers and coaches see enough of them in training to be able to judge where they are in their development, if they need a loan or just aren't good enough. Just because you hear loads about a player doesn't mean they should be thrown in our will make it. A few years ago everyone was shouting for Parrott to play because there was so much noise about how good he was. Look at him now, shows that we should trust the managers judgement.

And yet Kulu has just equalled Eriksen's record for Spurs when it comes to creating chances in a game. You accuse him of making stupid decisions. Wow!
