he is on 120k euro per year at Steaua....Spurs have offered 700k euro per year. This is from an agent close to the deal, and has been confirmed by the the league president Mr Dragomir
Some of his moves are... dare I say it... ATOUBAESQUE
Mumorn does not quote links deliberately. The more you ask him, the less he will do it.
I would have thought we would have all knew that.
That's what I was thinking. He needs to reign in some of the outlandish skills or at least choose the right moments for those tricks. Pointless if he wins us back the ball and then loses it trying a double drag back.
That said, I do appreciate defenders who are good with the ball and so would welcome his signing.
I remember reading in the Daily Mail a day or two before all this came to light so fair play to them......
From that video, i'm surprised no one has mentioned the similarities to a certain David Luiz???
Marauding CB. Confident on the ball. Not the most solid of builds but somehow able to get a long leg in there. Spends a lot of time on the floor from diving in. But can certainly strike it well.
And most of all...loves a cheeky turn, trick or flick on the ball to create space.
#Liability??
So £7m for Chiriches while Caulker goes to to Cardiff for £9m. Brilliant bit of business if Chiriches is a significant upgrade on Caulker, which is the impression you get from the paper talk. Alternatively, not such great business if Chiriches isn't all that great (who among us watches the Romanian league? do we have a Spurs fan from Romania on the board who could give us some first-hand info?) or if it turns out we're selling the next great British centre-back.
I'll be honest and say that Caulker does seem a bit error-prone to me - though his general standard of play is decent enough - but at the same time I think he still has time to sort that aspect of his game out and become a genuinely solid player. Even so, if this Romanian youngster is as good as they say, then it might be a risk worth taking.
Me? I'd keep them both. I'm not someone who agrees that 4 CBs is enough for a season. Especially not when there appears to be a question mark hanging over Kaboul's injury.

Caulker is a typical English CB - Big, strong, a presence. But no real skill or composure on the ball or ability to distribute. That's just the way we breed them unfortunately.
I would probably say the closest in the Prem is Jagielka or Rio - though it pains me to say it.
