Who said other clubs get every player they want? Why are you so defensive? Do you judge our standards against other clubs? You don't want to be better? Are you saying we can't do better than we currently do?

You're arguing against points that weren't made. No where was it said transfer were easy. I asked if he believed we are decisive in the transfer window. If you believe that to be the case then say so.

My arguement was that we finish transfers late in the day. Ie on the transfer deadline day consistently. We do so at a very regular rate. We rarely sign players early in the window, our rivals do.

Levy is often claimed to be the best chairman in the PL does that not mean that he is going to be compared to his rivals in transfer effectiveness?

Why are you being so defensive? Address the comments I did make and not what you think I'm saying.

Skipp returns in CM and be outstanding if we signed another
Possibly Saint maxim for a wide attacker and impact player or Lookman...
And danny Ings
Would that be a good window ?

I think the championship would be a good place to look.

Brooks, Sarr, Olise etc. Olise is the sort of creativity we really need.

Maignan (likely to be considerably cheaper than Henderson). Onana at Ajax also has only a year left.
Any two of Tarkowski, Ginter, Elvedi, Schafer, Milenkovic, Orban
Any of Zakaria(still probably too expensive even with 1 year left), Soumare, Sabitzer
Thuavin on a free would do for a wide attacker if we can’t afford either of your two. Deepay also free but I think you said Barcelona bound?
Marega (on a free) or Edoard up front if Ings too expensive.
Hysaj is also on a bosman from Napoli if we can’t get Aurier to sign a new deal or want to upgrade Doherty.

My ideal (semi realistic from a cost perspective) squad for next season would be:

GK: Maignan, Lloris, Hart
RB: Aurier, Hysaj, Tanganga
LB: Regulion, Sessegnon, Cirkin
CB: Tarkowski, Elvedi, Rodon, Toby
MF: Hojbjerg, Soumare, Skipp, Lo Celso
AM: Ndombele, Sabitzer, Dele
WF: Son, Thuavin, Bergwijn, Clarke
CF: Kane, Marega

There’s even still room in that for a further overseas player in our PL squad

That is a lot of incomings to do of course, though 3 are on free’s and, in theory, we could get them on pre contract deals now. All three would see a decent hike in wages coming to Spurs and would be likely to happily join us I think. Also every player that I have mentioned has an advantageous (for us) contract situation. All are therefore gettable if we act quickly and decisively.

Selling the deadwood of Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Doherty, Sissoko, Winks, Lamela, Moura probably funds all but about £30 million of the transfer fees as well.

That does assume that both Aurier and Son sign new contracts however.

I can't see us with 8 incomings and 8 outgoings, even if some are on a free!
