"fudgewittery", really !!!

I am not religious at all. But, I have nothing against anyone who practices his / her religion. It is their right. Period.
During my working life, I have worked in various countries with multi-racial, multi-religious populations. This mix was represented in the staff that worked for me.
During Ramadan, it is not only about not eating and drinking. A whole lot of other aspects come into play.
I remember that the productivity of my Muslim staff increased a lot during Ramadan. They didn't need coffee, lunch, cigarette breaks.
Now, when it comes to Aurier, he probably had his best ever game for us - while fasting.
No brain farts, silly fouls etc.
If this is what fasting does for him, I have a serious suggestion.

Make him fast for every game !!! :):)

We would have the best right back in the league.
I've experienced the opposite.

I've seen the number of mistakes, accidents and near misses increase significantly during fasting. To the point where a few who absolutely couldn't cope had to take annual leave whilst fasting.

Without wanting to accuse you of lying, this relaying of your 'experience' seems very sketchy to me.

Many muslims choose to save their annual leave for some of the Ramadan period.

I suspect your own biases have led you to your own interpretation (Muslims feel forced to take leave due to an onset of fasting-induced incompetence!).

Good entertaining football but not sure about the quality.... Sheffield are a mess.... Bale is class... Delle so rusty...still we won by a huge margin. However
kane is left to do a bit part... We won but how do you please everyone?

Dier cannot be a CB... Early in the first half passed straight to oppenonts forward, late second half nearly gifted a goal again this time miscalculting a pass to the keeper but salvaged at the last microsecond. Don't think anyone will buy him either but he seems an untouchable now.

Very good. They were brick but that's what we needed and hopefully it'll build confidence and momentum.

Lots of good performances. Thought Sonny, Aurier and Bale were the pick of the bunch.

It doesn't really tell us anything but I'd love it if Mason could get 4 more wins and get us close or into the top 4.

As I understand it, we have 4 teams that qualify for CL. If the Goons somehow win the Europa League , then it would be the top four teams in the PL plus them. However, if Emirates Marketing Project or Chelsea win the CL and/or Man U win the Europa , does that mean the fifth placed team would then qualify for the CL (assuming that Emirates Marketing Project, Man U and Chelsea already occupy one of the top four spaces already). So in this eventuality, fifth may be enough.

Am I right?

You're doing that thing again where you're challenging someone's view based on a healthy worldly experience with your own in the League of Gentleman village you live in.

No, it would still just be the top 4. The only way I can think of that 5th place would qualify for CL through their league position is if one of the top 4 was banned from European competition.

Islam, doesn't actually force anyone to do anything. There are adherents who mix up religious and cultural traditions by accident or on purpose depending on their agenda. The same is done in the name of Catholicism. But it doesn't mean there is anything inherently wrong with the religion itself.

Well I'm the one who forced them to take the leave, I don't think that was the plan beforehand.

They should ban Man U for yesterday's shenanigans. Maybe that might seem harsh but it's for the good of the game. Nothing to do with self interest...
