My lovely Spurs are back, where have you been? The last time i saw you was back in December against the chavs where we lost 3 nil as well, surprisingly.
What a poor show. Some of the defending was very very poor, Dier for the third goal, how can professional footballer be so lax ,for a start be facing the wrong way to tackle someone,be nut megged and be pushed away so easily, then the first goal if he couldn't see the gap for Fellaini to go through,he shouldn't be on the pitch. To be honest he shouldn't be in the first team reguarly he should be learning his trade in the under 21's or in the europa cup for a start. He's a good prospect but he needs someone like a King or a Dawson type of figure around him ,Vertonghen isn't that person,he just conentrates on his own game,he's not a natural leader. Walker, there is a debate going on between Rose and Davies,on who should play, but he's sort of slipped under the radar,he's in comfort zone, no pressure on his position what so ever ,some of his passing was so shoddy, how many times did he give the ball away in crucial areas, jesh, got a feeling he be on his way in the summer,he's in the age bracket now that Levy sells players,if a villa /Saudi Sportswashing Machine come in for him for £8 million levy will sell him, thats his policy.
One shot in 90 mins and that was in the 88th minute,Kane looks he can do with a break but more useful some help,he's up there on his own, chasing four defenders,he spends far more energy running around and when he gets the ball he's too knackered to do anything.
We could say its a one off yeterday but it hasn't been, its been there all season since we played Emirates Marketing Project back in October, being steamrollered by bigger and stronger sides. The problem with MP style of a high intensity pressurizing game you can do it for a some specific games or for the first few months of the season but too keep doing for 38+ games in a season, after a while players will get weary, drained and lethargic and that was the case yeterday.Didn't Southampton lose their way around this period playing the same style? It crossed my mind after watching us against QPR last week something was up,if they could have finished like man ure did yesterday they would have beaten us but they missed some sitters.
To be honest comparing our squads to the rest of the top 6 is like comparing men against boys,we have on the surface a very good team but on the underbelly we are still weak and soft. So the onus is again with Levy/lewis will they give MP the money to spend on 4/5 very experience players we clearly need, people who have knowledge and few international caps or will it be as usual give the manager a token star player to sell season tickets and memberships and a couple of promising youngsters, its Sydney or the bush now Mr Levy
