Maybe so but its obvious where he should be playing. He isn't going to run a game out wide like he does nearly every week from the middle.

I'm about to have a heart attack. I'm taking two positives from this change, even though I'm against Redknapp changing the whole team around because of one absence:

-Bale and Modric spent a very successful half season playing in these positions for us. They both played very well and had a great understanding.
-Bale being at left back means he can do nothing other than stay on the left.

I thought about that. The German league ended last weekend. Could we not have brought him back to play this game, or does that violate some silly rule? Kane has been out on loan and is on the bench today though.
