Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal OMT

would be sheer madness to even consider playing bale left back. he's a poor full back for start. you'd be weakening 2 positions to try and cover one. the gooners would laugh their bollox off when they saw the teamsheet

not to mention he's our leading goalscorer and by a long way in the last 2 or 3 months with ade and vdv scoring most of their goals at the start of the seas.

I wouldn't put Bale leftback but let's not forget that this is exactly where he played for 3 months or so the season we finished 4th. He's not world class there by any means but he's nowhere near as poor as people make him out to be either.

Just imagine if we smash them. According to reports the pro wenger are fighting the anti wenger during games and at half time etc.

We could properly derail that club, more so than the chance we had in 05/06 season

If I was the manager, I would find all of the quotes this season from Szeczney, Wheelchair, Frimpong and the rest of their brick players and pin them all on the bulletin board just from some extra motivation.

You have forgotten the mighty Carl Jenkinson, who today said they have a better squad than us and will win because of it.

Did he really say that? I would love it if he played as I think Bale or Lennon would terrorise him and tear him a new anal hole

Careful now, wouldn't want our players injuring themselves laughing.

true, i hear what you are saying about the 10 point gap. but it could be a 13 point gap which is why i really want us to win and am very nervous.

I thinkk that if they were playing well and we were playing well we would win. Although, they have a lot of weaknesses which we should focus on, and we do not have that many really so even if we do go a goal or 2 down, can see us coming back.

a win for us and that knocks them out of the running for 3rd imo. no way they'll make up a point per game on us in the run-in.

a draw is absolutely fine as it takes another game out of the calendar for them to catch us - the only pain is that it's the proverbial 6 pointer meaning potentially Chelsea, Pool and the Barcodes could capitalise on the draw.

a loss, well, it's entirely possible - they still have some excellent, top drawer quality. the defining thing would be how we bounce back - which, so far this season - has been well after the odd defeats that we have had.

even if we do go behind in the game, i'd still fancy us to get something as their confidence is so so fragile atm and there are question marks over their defence and keeper imo.

on paper we should be as confident as we've ever been, i'm nervous but in reality we shouldn't have too much to fear - man for man we are stronger than them in probably 9 out of the 11 positions and the gap between the respective managers has never been so wide.

really looking forward to this... it could really put a marker down for our run in... with Man U waiting in the wings...

The problem with this game is that we are almost expected to get a result - even win. Even neutrals have us as favourites. In the last 15 years or so, there's been no pressure on us coming into these fixtures, as we were always seen as Arsenal's inferiors. Now - with us winning there last season, and the way we are playing this season - the pressure is on us. I think most of us will be disappointed if we don't get anything out of this game, and I'm sure the players feel the same.

How the team will handle this pressure, will be decisive, IMO. I'm certainly getting nervous!
