Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Here you go!

Stupid question, but it's not that far really, right? Like you're just messing around and adding to the joke.

right?

Right?!

Even with the increased angle. Just a simple check of the stadium build in San Jose and you can see they have a massive run off area around the pitch. Looks like a good 10 yards before the stadium even starts. So that graphic with the green seats is wrong. IT would start around the start of the Gooner seats or further back.

Yeah, that graphic seems to be way off.

I think that's a standing area behind the goal :)

I feel like the stat above may have been the playing surface rather than the goal? the distance would be shorter if you're measuring to where the grass starts and not where the line is.

Not too bothered though, fair play to San Jose, a much nicer stadium than stratford :)

...and higher, as it looks like they've put corporate boxes at pitch level.

You can begin to see its final shape a bit better now. The tiers look pretty steep and will really keep that closeness to the pitch (that is missing from other new stadiums in London). Very impressive.

Can't believe how fast they're building it. Maybe we're trying to get it finished to this summer to avoid having to play at Wembley? :p

You have to remember that for any building, getting the frame/structure done is the quick bit - getting everything else done (fit-out, electrics, utilities, finishes etc) takes longer. If you ask me, its looking tight to get the 2/3 (or whatever part of the stadium is meant to be done) completed in time for the start of 2018/9

Ok, cheers for that info. Let's hope we're done with it come August 2019. :)

The whole stadium is to completed by the end of summer in 2018. The roof is designed in a way that means it can only be put in after all stands are complete. There's only a couple of floors left that will be concrete, the rest will be a steel frame and that will speed things up. They've taken a lot of time with the current floor in the corners as the raker beams were done on site instead of the prefab ones they've used everywhere else. The south stand will not have a basement and will be entirely made of steel. The three stands currently being built will be more or less in place by this summer.

Some ITK from SC:

I went to the spvrs presentation at Lillywhite House yesterday. It's a very slick presentation and surprisingly whilst it's a sales operation it isn't terribly hard sell.

The virtual reality head sets showing you where you might be sitting in the stadium are amazing. There's also what is best called a mini IMAX with 360 degree projectors.

There will be 2 sky lounges either stand with so called premium tickets starting at about £5k per season.

Otherwise the lower lounges offer tickets starting at £2,500 if you don't mind sitting next to the away stands but otherwise at £3,250,

All prices plus VAT of course and all packages include food, some drink and other benefits.

Some interesting comments from our sales person, most of which will have been mentioned before

- the North stand will be at full height by Mid February.

- At present the project is one week ahead of schedule

- After Christmas they expect to have over 900 workmen on site (Seems a lot but that's what he said!)

- the club will be running shuttle buses at least for the premium tickets to include Alexander Palace and (they hope) Ikea

- They have sold a number of the top priced tickets already mainly to existing box holders - front row seats in demand of course!

- there will be 55 boxes compared to about 110 at present as the demand for corporate boxes is far less but all boxes will have outside seating.

- they will have speciality restaurants in the corporate seating areas to be booked in addition to the buffet areas.

- they hope to be able to allow premium seat holders to have access pre match to the south stand areas to meet friends and there will be cashless card system in operation

- They will have a re sale programme in place for the premium tickets

- They are in regular discussion with the hospitality people at Club Wembley and the Emirates to try and learn from their experiences.

The premium tickets are interesting but I have to say that the south stand kop looks amazing via the virtual reality headset and that's where I want to be!

Visiting the sales suite and seeing all the visuals was really exciting and they really seem to be trying to get as much right as they can on lots of things - but (and a big but) I think it will all be more expensive whatever level of supporter you are!

The horseshoe section of the structure currently in progress should be largely complete by the end of this season. That will leave over 12 months in the program for the fit out. The new south stand is a completely different structure being open without all the floors we have in the other stands and is designed for quicker construction. Even the basement to house the retractable pitch is at ground floor level. Yes the program is tight but barring a major problem like a key supplier going bust we can look forward to some test events prior to opening in August 2018.

Kept trying to click on your build images Jordinho, they don't appear to work :confused::mad::mad:............

Then I noticed the air-con remote & lightswitch :oops::rolleyes::)

I'd love to see that 3D presentation somehow. Any chance they'll make it available online any day soon, you reckon?

Someone on Skyscrapercity asked the club:

"Hi

Thank you for your enquiry.

We are presently in the process of upgrading the cameras and images and there will be some new shots and renders released very shortly, so please keep an eye on the official site in the coming weeks!

In terms of the SPVRS tour, we’re currently keeping those close at hand to ensure we retain the element of surprise and astonishment for those who come through the premium seating visits at Lilywhite House.

We will be releasing more information on those in the near future.

Kind regards"

"Just done the SPVRS thing. As you would expect, it is seriously impressive; if you get the chance, go.

In summary, and again unsurprisingly, we are going to make incredible amounts of money from the stadium....just from football. Of the 55 boxes only 2 remain unsold, the big ones - they're £220k a season, 10 yr sign up. There are loads, and I mean loads of corporate seating (rather than boxes). 100 odd seats next to the tunnel with view inside the tunnel are £22k a season each. Sky lounges, about £5k-7k each and look incredible. Loads more. The top one - The H (Hostpur) Club, has a restaurant that they want to get a Michelin star for. Think they were about £17k, it all became a bit of a blur to be honest. It's so good. The cheap ones range from £2.5k (only about 20 of these available and are all gone), to £6k next to Levy (these gone too).

When you throw in the NFL (Jaguars were agreed but not any more, guy who showed us was confident we'd get a team over here once built), concerts (the promo video looks incredible) and boxing (a number of bouts agreed apparently) we are going to be very very rich.

Encouragingly, our guy said WHL station not being ready wouldn't be a problem - he said they've sold so much already he wouldn't know what they'd do if it didn't open on schedule!

Just to confirm, the stadium be as high as the crane cabs. In the NW corner, it's not that far off now.

Once you see it all together, it really is breath taking. Doesn't look at all like a bowl inside. If anything, the 3 small coroporate tiers look the Lane as is. It has character, the pitch is virtually the same as the moment, and the south stand as good as you'd expect.

I defy anyone who goes to ever criticise Levy again. He might have got lucky with the Archway delay, and time to design it properly, but he is building us, quite comfortably, one of the best stadiums in the world".
