Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Is that the first bit of terracing?

Ohh. quite fit, that bird!

This is going to be our home, all built to the way we want it. Not like that brick down at Stratford. So happy we didn't get that when we were bidding for it, at the time I wanted it. Silly me.

We were bidding for the land. We would have built our own stadium, although it would probably have been the previous incarnation of the design.

I was dead against it and moving out of Tottenham. Don't know whether I would have carried on supporting us had we have moved.

Fortunately we're here to stay and seem to be on the right track to make it all work.

To give you a reference point the new ground will be 3 times higher than what you saw the other day

Yes, said something similar to the missus when she saw it on Saturday, she thought the current build was high, I told her you aint seen nothing yet. I assume its going to be as tall as Old Trafford, we were there for the Grand Final a couple of weeks in the old Stretford End, and just queueing outside and looking up it just looks awesome

Its roughly double the height of WHL

What you see at the moment is roughly 2/3rds of the lower tier

Mr Khan announced his investigation into the conversion cost - up from £272m to £323m
The rise in the cost of converting the arena for football takes the total cost of the stadium to £752m, all of which has been met by the taxpayer apart from a £15m contribution from West Ham.

Three Quarters of One Billion Pounds. I'm not sure what is included in that cost, is it all of the demolition and groundworks and everything ever ever... does it include any of the other facilities at the Olympic Park... how do they come to that figure?
Surely it is not the cost purely of building one temporary stadium and then converting it to be less temporary (although done very poorly)?

Remind me how much our stadium costs.

Also I noticed this puppy last night, another Billion pound project. How does our magnificent stadium compare in terms of height, size, timescale, cost? Come on, someone like WineGum most know these things, I need answers dammit.

It's going to dwarf the current stadium judging by this render, should be quite the sight to behold when walking up the High Road...

Although, thankfully, we will still be much closer to the pitch than at the cavernous Wembley Stadium...

Very reassuring, that second graphic.
