I remember a lot of p1ss taking because the Gooners couldn't develop their new ground on top of the old one, they had to move a fair distance away to somewhere I had never heard of (Ashburton Grove)

I honestly thought it was a lot further away from Highbury than it is, it is a stone's throw and uses the same tube stop.

I'm assuming it's an American sports stadium in the pipeline?

EDIT: I got curious so googled it, I assume it's San Jose Earthquakes new stadium, now known as the Avaya Stadium.

Looks like they got away with a steeper rake as it's one tier and one end of the stadium is strangely completely open.

I cannot find a profile view comparison but this overhead overlay (from RMB2007 on SSC) shows how much better suited to football our new home will be than the Olympic Stadium...
