Some interesting tidbits from the Trust's meeting last week.
Mostly predictably disappointing re: tranafer ambitions (none whatsoever), which I expected.
However, the most interesting tidbits (to my mind, anyway) are that a) the Stadium will be made a London Living Wage area, which will also include the matchday stewards, b) Nike will not be the new sponsor, and c) the Women's team are likely going to be incorporated into the club proper.
Re: the London living wage, if true, *good on Levy* and the club. It's what I wanted us to do for a long time - damn being an utterly cheapskate business, we have a social obligation to Tottenham and the people of Haringey more broadly. It's very, very pride-inducing to see that we're living up to that.
Re: Nike, sigh. It's going to end up being a toilet seat maker or something, and that's going to suck.
Finally, re: the women's team, absolutely good news - should have been done earlier, and tbh,
I would have preferred that the second test event after the U18s was a Spurs Ladies game, instead of the Legends one we ended up going with. Still, this is a good move too.
Have a look through it - interesting stuff.
