Tom Carroll

Only have 5 midfielders have made more tackles per games this season in the Championship.
The kid can handle himself.

Windy has said Carroll will be back at the club this window. He's generally a very reliable source.

Cool, thanks for sharing.

Back at the club makes it sound like he's saying Carroll will be brought back to stay at Spurs, not to be sent out on another loan, right?

Yep back to stay is what I took out of it.

Cool. He's always looked very talented, AVB also trusted him towards the end of matches when we needed a ball player in midfield. Will be interesting to see how he develops now and how much game time he gets under Sherwood.

When Tim Sherwood took over as Spurs boss, it was rumoured that he would bring back Tom Carroll from his loan spell at QPR.

Carroll, a cultured midfielder, has not always set Loftus Road alight during his loan spell with Harry Redknapp’s side, but on Tuesday night pulled out a fine performance in QPR’s 2-1 win over Bolton.

Rangers fans voted Carroll their man of the match on Twitter and the Tottenham schemer showed his eye for a pass and some fine tackles late on.

Considering how Nabil Bentaleb has made his way into the Spurs first team this season, Carroll looks to be playing himself into contention at White Hart Lane for 2014/2015.

Eriksen - Carroll
Dembele - Paulhino
Sandro - Bentaleb

Capoue/Holtby/Sigurdsson - probably two of the three moved on

I thought of it as:

Sandro - Livermore
Bentaleb - Carroll
Eriksen - Dembele,

with Paulinho as the extra man and the three you mentioned moving on. Decent central midfield, all things considered. Two English players, three youth team products, one enigmatic Belgian who shows flashes of talent, one mercurial Danish playmaker, one box-to-box Brazilian and the one and only Beast.

Good move, lets hope he gets the playing time and PL experience he needs.

This could be make or break for him, at least in terms of his continued Spurs career. If he does well for Swansea and progresses as a player, he could be in the runnning for a starting spot next season. If he doesn't geet much playing time, and stagnates, there's a big chance he'll be shipped out permanently, IMO.

Good move for him, very important that he has got a Prem move finally. Hope he get a playing time. Do sort of feel Swansea is round his level though.

I agree
