In what way would it be sensible? Massive wages, and massively overrated. Not better than any of the midfielders we'll keep. Also he's quite the primadonna and not exactly known for his hard work. He's exactly what we DON'T need in this team now.

He's a good player. Yes baggage. But why spend £40m on gray? We could have agreed a contract with Rabiot in jan.

I don’t think he is that good
Never impressed me in any games
I thought he did ok for France but France were bland
He would struggle with our pace of play

I think it's a good deal for both sides. We get a young English player who has a high ceiling IMO and Emery gets Lo Celso who he really rates. If he can get Lo Celso on the pitch for more than 5 games a season then fair play to him.....

If we are doing, more like get a player off the wage books a year early, bring down our cash outlay to sub £20M on HG, upcoming player with PL experience .. trade in past failure for future prospect ..

GLC is practically worthless to us at present, 10m or so? Which puts Ramsey at 30m +/- and if the club have identified him as a target then that seems a good value deal to me

I would MUCH rather gamble on Archie Gray in there, slowly taking Bissouma's shirt from him...Rabiot has more baggage than Heathrow!

Regarding Rabiot he seems to be linked heavily to United & Liverpool so likely not much in these reports other than being typical rumour mill fodder

He plays a B2B centre midfield role

The French kid or the Dutch kid?

The french one no one had heard of until very recently and I doubt anyone has seen him play unless your a scout
Was wanted by and expected to go to Madrid. She didn’t want United but they offered silly ,ones, more so when he only had a year left

The Dutch guy is a decent little player but not sure how he will do here or even play here. He was at Bayern but did 5 break through and had several loans. Doesn’t start for Holland and their striker options are poor, but that could be the manager of course
