The race for 86 points

Thought you might of. BT mentioned they wished we still had to play each other in the League. I wouldnt mind that tbh, providing it was at WHL though

I remember smashing them this season but looking at their fixture list earlier I was still thinking "that's another 3 points closer"

still might do some mental damage

I just hope it doesnt happen the other way too. If we do happen to lose the semi, I hope it doesnt derail the rest of our season. As it is, on current form I think we have one hell of a chance of getting to the final this time

Practice makes perfect.:D And Chelsea weren't our direct rival last year, so more to gain this time round!
Yep. Some damage to a couple of their players would go a long way to increasing our chances of a title run.

We need someone to come on with a few minutes left and take one for the team, knowing they'll probably be banned for the rest of the season.

I'll do it and I won't even charge (although Spurs will have to pay my fine)

Just wondering, but IIRC isn't there a certain number of games a player must play to get a league winner's medal?

I seem to remember a few years ago when UTD won the league at a canter they started giving game time to their worst players to ensure they got a medal. Is this still a thing?

No. Now the champions are given X number of medals (I am not sure of the exact figure) for the club to distribute to whichever players they wish

I wouldn't mind even if it was at the Bridge. But with a close to full strength team.

Knock out Kante and they'll fold.

Considering Chelski has fielded the same 11 in like all the PL games, it will be a tough decision how they distribute the 10+ extra medals on their remaining 60 first team players.

This will be one of those times when the Chelski fans will point at RLC and talk about their youth players getting game time and winning things. Despite the fact that he's probably played less than 90 minutes in the league this year.

Yep. Exactly what I thought. Amazing. I know for some it won't matter unless we win something to prove our worth ( and I would LOVE that to happen, of course). But this is just another demonstration of not only how we are massively punching above our weight, but also of how we are worthy title contenders, not just flukes. Of course you can make an arbitrary cut-off at any time any time and if the starting point of this comparison had been 2 or 3 seasons ago it would look very different. But the very fact that tables are being made about us (in a positive way) is very telling.

If you watched the same bit on BTSport you would also have heard Hoddle being quite critical of Eriksen, saying he doesn't produce against the big teams. It saddened me to hear Hoddle play down Eriksen in that way. Maybe it's because he has such high standards - and with good reason. But he wasn't as appreciative as I would have expected. Maybe I misinterpreted what he said.

EDIT I tried to insert a screenshot of the table Ricky referred to but I don't think it has worked.

Here it is...
