Fulham boss sacked, Ranieri straight in
Ranieri straight in
I've nothing against good foreign players being in the greed league, there are far too many bang average players strolling about in it. .
Was done quickly that's allWhat were you expecting, him to go on a grand tour for a month or so?
Yeah I know I was pulling your legWas done quickly that's all

Just be bang average home grown players instead.
Think of all the meh players we’ve had come through
Maybe, but there could be 2 or 3 class players who develop given a chance, but we'll never know as most of the foreign coaches aren't interested in England or future of the club just the English pound notes they'll get when they get the sack.
Not sure how true that is.
Chelsea aside all the top 6 have decent amount HGP
Woolwich and Chelsea have regularly fielded complete foreign teams.
Not sure I agree with that. Foreigners can turn up, take the money and coast along. I think you need a core of national players, so that it means more to them, which in turn rubs off on the foreigners in the team.I don’t understand why that matters?
It’s not the nationality that makes a player, it’s the coaching.
We won’t produce better players by removing foreign ones, we’ll do it by investing in domestic academy’s and coaches.
But overall, I don’t care where a player comes from, I just want them to perform for Spurs.

Really?why does it mean more to them?
Really?
And both had locals/nationals in the team.yeah, they are professionals doing a job, Beckham worked just as hard for Madrid as he did for United
And both had locals/nationals in the team.
That's not what I'm saying at all. You were talking about a complete team of foreigners, and you're using an example of a player playing in a different country with a team made up predominantly of nationals. You're actually reinforcing my argument. So he worked hard at United because he was British but worked hard in Spain because he was in the same team as Casillas?
Is it not more likely he was just a pro with a strong work ethic?

You're saying a national and a foreigner can work equally hard, and I agree. I just think it's preferable to have the right structure.
Do you think that it matters more to someone who fights for their country, than someone who fights for another country for money?I'm trying to say that I don't see how it makes a blind bit of difference where someone was born to how professional they are. Nationality is irrelevant in club football.
