The Official 2016/17 Premier League Thread

Hoped we might be still 2nd at 5pm (but didnt really think it could happen). no points gained for either Arsenal or Liverpool. What a massive oppurtunity now to build up a gap before the trip to Anfield.

Old Tottenham wastes that chance tonight, but I am hoping the new-and-improved Pochenham is truly here and we get the win to put us clear 2nd

Everton really slaughtering Bournemouth there. Too bad I didn't make Lukaku my fantasy captain!

I would definitely add Lucas to that!
I don't rate Lucas either but that comment that was specifically aimed at Milner.

Reason being he's not awful in any position he's just not good in any either - he's just meh no matter where he plays. If Milner is playing then it means the team is lacking a specialist in whatever position he's playing.

Well another 2 games chalked off. 14 to go.

Not a bad week (but could have been so much better)
Didnt gain any ground on Chelsea, but tbh that train is too far up the track now....but,

Gained 3 pts on Liverpool
Gained 4pts on Arsenal
Will at least match United.
City will probably be the big gainers in the chasing pack.

Avoid defeat next week and we will be in a good place, with no visits left to any of the Top 8

Marco Silva, the Hull boss, deserves a shout out. Won 4 of his 8 games in charge, drawn at Old Trafford and beaten Liverpool. Has a reputation for success on a shoe string. Must admit I had never heard of him before he was appointed but may turn out as the surprise of the season. Will deserve Coach of the Year if he keeps Hull up.

Led with the elbow, surely a foul?
I challenge you to run as fast as you can and try to jump over a cow. At the last second, as you realise cows are quite tall and you are going to crash into it, keep your arms behind your back and go in ribs first. Hint: You won't.

But you still hit the cow?!

I'm sorry, but that's a terrible analogy! :p

It was a foul. There must be a still out there that shows clear contact of the elbow with the head.

I think all the pundits and ex-players seem to have lost their collective marbles on this one.
