The Official 2015/16 Premier League Thread

Farkin' ell, bloody tea leaf 'captain', scores an equaliser ... in the 8th minute of 7 minutes allotted extra time, and offside.

Typical. Bloody Russian oil money eh ??

To be fair. The extra minute or so was correct. Everton's goal celebrations went on too long (was funny watching the steward carrying one of their players away from the crowd in the corner). Had it been a quick 20/30 seconds the match might have ended on 97.00 or 97.30, but the fact they took so long cost them dearly, just like the Bournemouth match.
The big but though is, the goal should not have stood anyway irrespective of when it was scored as it was offside.

Even getting a point should not be enough to get them anywhere a Top 4 finish. And tbh if they pulled back a 14pts deficit over the last 16 matches they will have earned a CL place, they would have pick up something like 42pts from 48 to be in with a shout

Everton avoided a stonewall penalty against ManCity on 92th minute and got a draw. Karma.
Still the luckiest team in the history of football - Chelski - is the winner of all these comparisons.

Btw Liecester got their karma yesterday as well. Avoided a penalty when Huth elbowed Kozak and conceded a goal, when Gestede accidently helped himself with a hand.

both of them - they start one after other. or you're limited of time?

Like your thinking! My mistake thought they were both on around 2pm (UK time). Pool almost opened the scoring. Lalana should have scored!

So we want a pool win or draw and a Stoke victory would be orgasmic.

Poor by Lallana! A looping header over the GK would have been both the obvious and easiest option. Don't really know what he was trying to do.

We are better than both these teams. Watching 20 mins or so: LVG dodged bullet for us. United's press is not coordinated, the front press and leave space to pass into midfield. Pool much better with the press and their urgency. United have the better players.

Also amazing how united don't break with pace or urgency, preferring to pass back when they get possession. Mourinho probably would get this united side performing a lot better.

Yet they are only 4 and 7 points behind us. Though pool have shaded it, it is anyone's game. United have more quality/ skill in their side, Pool have better teamwork and setup.

Was it Martial on the left? He wasn't far from breaking through. Think United are in with a good shout of getting a result. Better off watching a movie tho. Or paint dry. Or a million things that isn't that first half!
