The Official 2014/15 Premier League Thread

I didn't blame him for wanting the England job and for keeping his options open, the only difference between managers and players is managerial jobs become open during the season, If Modric could have left for Chelsea or Real at exactly the same time without Levy standing in his way then he would have left in a shot and wouldn't have thought twice so I don't begrudge managers depending on the circumstances. I did want him gone after the season as I felt he was at least partly to blame for the way the second half of the season petered out.

I didn't like the man either before Spurs and always thought he was quite overrated as a manager but the job he did at Spurs made me change my opinion of him, we were everybody's favourite team to watch, not just his old pals in the press, I mean the average football fan loved watching Spurs under him.

My main issue was how he mid-season claimed the players wouldn't get distracted, but as soon as England was off the table they needed to know who was going to be in charge next season.

Tabloids will link it but I don't think we'll get him in.

They'll be asking a lot more than he's worth. Too soon to declare him the real deal. He'll start getting a lot more attention from opposition players now. Let's see how he deals with that.

The flip side is we wait and his value goes up even more. It's a risk either way. I would love to see us bring someone in in January but I don't think it will happen.

Fair comment. One thing I will always be critical of him for is the way he contradicts himself to suit his agenda i.e. the contract stuff.

It's almost impossible without paying a ransom or have the player kick up a **** storm.

Another 45 minutes of the same and we could almost declare this a good weekend. That last winner for the dippers hurts though.

we are 4 points off the bottom 3 and 2 points away from the top 4

Our woes stem from losing to West Brom, but we can fix that in our coming run of games. Arsenal dropping points at home to Hull and United stumbling is good.

Way to jinx yourselves.

I have a feeling that comment may be deleted fairly soon. It's the way twitter works, say something stupid/insensitve then remove because you don't have the balls to stick by it or because you know you've ****ed up.

Everyone's seen it by now. It's been re-tweeted everywhere.

Sandra Marsh: As a joint #MUFC and Chelsea fan I know about good man management. Moyes was a weight on Fellaini. Now he is gone he can shine
