The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

i want martinez, barkley, mirallas, lukaku.....

Miralles is ****.

The only guys id want from Everton are Baines and Barkley. They can keep the rest. Considering Lukaku isn't theirs and neither is Dealafou I'm not going to say I'd have them from Everton, although I wouldn't mind them at the club, rumours were that we were close to signing him in the summer on loan.

Come on Andre, get Lamela playing, he's a couple of years older and a lot more experienced than Deulofeu for example.

I think it was Stenno i was having an argument about this a month or so back. I asked why they don't give the kid starts ahead of Pienaar who has been rather ****e.....i was told he's not ready and he's an untried kid that has no experience in the league. Fast forward a month and he's destroying any team that goes up against him.

Martinez gave an interview this weekend, said he expected him to take until January to settle but he's come on a bit sooner than expected. He said he was looking out for the cultural adaptation, and what he means by that is not trying to buy free kicks and not expecting too much help from the ref like he would get in Spain. He said in the first few weeks if he got knocked off the ball he'd be looking for someone to blow up but over the last few weeks he jumps up to win the ball back straight away. Martinez said it's hard to undo a lifetime's worth of coaching but he's taken his time and done it now.

Arsenal really did not deserve to win that. And a point is good for us too. And while everyone is raving about Everton and worried that they will stop us getting top 4, we basically turned up to their ground and completely stopped them playing for a good hour. They turned up to Arsenal and imposed their style for a lot of the game. It doesn't mean much in isolation but I think we are a very good team too and people should remember that.

How is Mirallas **** exactly? like how?

Good game. Shows how tough this season will be.

Despite being put under a lot of pressure I thought Arsenal did quite well, didn't give away many chances whilst creating some really big chances themselves. Based on open play Everton bossed it, but in terms of clear chances Arsenal probably deserved to win it. Will be tough, but hopefully City can find some form and take them on.

Everton showing themselves as real top 4 contenders with that performance, still some things missing and I think real questions about their squad. Is the Baines injury the first real injury to their back 4 this season? Lukaku, Deulofeu and Barkley all very good young players, but still very young and unfinished. Can they go the distance? But overall Everton look like a really good team.

Such a sweet goal. Loved the moment, because Arsenal fans were singing for the first time in the game, (after moaning like old biddies every time an Arsenal player lost the ball) and Neville was talking about how they were going to 'sing their team home'...then BANG. Loved it.

Fantastic strike. It actually looks like he's taken too long, two players closing him down and another one covering. Could perhaps say that Gibbs should do better, but a fantastic strike - just smashes it past the keeper.

Mirallas is just erratic, makes loads of wrong decisions but is also capable of something sublime. Everton about his level.

I was thinking more Saudi Sportswashing Machine his level. I would put Everton above Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

Everton have somehow managed to integrate 3 new players into their first X1 with ease (Barry, Mccartney and Lukaku). They've also managed to get an untried kid from a foreign country to start producing almost immediately...well actually 2 players being that Oviedo looks good already too.

Toughest 90 of the season for Arsenal then, they go to nasty Naples in midweek, are up in Manchester next week and play Chelsea the week after. Very, very tough.

Balague called it a while back, Neymar, Messi and Delefeou will be the forward line for Barca for many years to come. With performances like that from Delefeou, that front line looks as though it has the potential to be pretty special.
