Think its a bit a of a tinkle take the premiership don't take this tournament seriously. Absolutely cracking match. Bigger clubs than up take it seriously.

Thought Harry was out of order early on in the season the way he talked about it. Its all about money in this country not trophy's which is wrong.

Saying that we'd get ripped a new one towards the end.

totally agree, I'd love to win this tournament, I wish we'd take it seriously. As someone mentioned earlier, the games about glory and winning things, not finishing 4th at all cost.

It has been said numerous times. Yet nothing has ever been done about it.

The fact that the winner of the europa doesn't get a place in the Champions League is a travesty.

I wanted us to go for Van Wolfswinkel a couple of years ago. Although in fairness it was more down to his name than anything.

Indeed, unfortunately I think that boat has sailed for us, be bigger cheque books chasing him

We should have gone for him when we finished 4th. He would have helped us in CL qualifying, and even if we failed to qualify we needed to strengthen our team anyway. The guy is quality, but it was a typical Spurs management decision not to strengthen at the right time

Guardiola Go Bye-Bye

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1055094/pep-guardiola-to-part-company-with-barcelona---reports?cc=5901

Pep Guardiola is set to part company with Barcelona at the end of the season, according to reports on Thursday evening.

Guardiola's future has been the subject of conjecture following a disappointing week for Barcelona, during which their 2-1 defeat in El Clasico propelled Real Madrid toward the Liga title.

Barca then followed that result with a 3-2 aggregate loss to Chelsea in the Champions League semi-finals, meaning their remaining focus is now on the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao on May 25.

Guardiola has been on a rolling contract at the Camp Nou since taking over from Frank Rijkaard in 2008, and, with the 2011-12 season drawing to a close, speculation has ignited over whether he will commit to fresh terms.

The latest reports suggest the 41-year-old will not extend his stay with the Spanish club, amid suggestions he is keen to take a year out from football, such is the intensity of leading Barcelona.

A press conference is scheduled for Friday when Guardiola is expected to confirm the news, which will likely be followed by a string of reports proposing potential replacements for the hugely successful coach, with Athletic's Marcelo Bielsa mooted as a contender.

Guardiola has won three successive La Liga titles since being handed the reins, while he lifted the Champions League trophy in 2009 and 2011, subsequently winning the FIFA Club World Cup on two occasions also.

How is Di Mateo going to respond to this? If he somehow manages to win the CL, there's still a possibility he'll get the axe because Abramovich is crazy like that.

Love the way the press make out as if he is leaving due to bad recent results. He said at the end of last season that he wanted a break at some point and this may be his last season at Barca.

Gale was commentating on my feed for the Bayern - Real semi the other day, to be fair he seemed better than most "pundits" in that he actually knew a little bit about the Johnny Foreigners he was commentating on.

Everton v Fulham 2-0

Swansea v Wolves 3-0
West Brom v Aston Villa 2-0
Wigan v Saudi Sportswashing Machine 0-2
Norwich v Liverpool 1-1
Chelsea v QPR 1-1
Tottenham v Blackburn 1-0
Emirates Marketing Project v Man Utd 0-1

Wow, those results are all in favour of Saudi Sportswashing Machine, even down to Sunderland losing at home to Bolton !

Tbf I have you beating Blackburn, which isn't a given with your current form.

Sunderland have nothing to play for and the new manager honeymoon is over, they have been awful last few weeks, Bolton have it all to play for and on the back of a win at Villa.
