The toffees are thinking the cup would be a nice thing to chase this season, they are safe, unlikely to get europe through the league, this is their best chance. Chavs win away at benfica, interesting - they are still playing in 2 cups and chasing us/scum to get into CL places, the strain is very likely to break them. See what side they put out against us.

Chelsea are unlikely to get their FA Cup semi-final brought forward by 48 hours should they reach the Champions League semi-finals, Press Association Sport understands.

The Blues are considering lobbying for their last four cup clash to be played on Friday, April 13 in order to give them more time to prepare for what could be the first leg of a European tie against Barcelona or AC Milan.

Chelsea's FA Cup semi-final is currently scheduled just three days before that potential Champions League home clash.
But the Football Association are unlikely to deviate from what has become a traditional Saturday-Sunday split for their cup semi-finals, while any change could also be vetoed by the Metropolitan Police.

Good! This could work to our advantage if they end up playing Barca a few days after the semi, obviously there is the chance they might win the damn thing, but with Real and Barca in their way I'll take the gamble.
After tonight looks like their halfway to the semis

The FA want as many people to watch the semi finals as possible. They ain't moving it to a Friday night.

Chelsea may not like it, but tough brick I'm afraid.

fudge em, why should our fans be fudged over and have to get to Wembley on a Friday just because they might get to the semis. Can always pull out of one of the competitions if they're players are too precious to play 2 games in 3 days.

Which, by the way, everyone has to do next weekend anyway?

Oh and remember when we had to play Seville on the Thursday night then them on the Saturday lunch time? they didn't seem to care then

Our league game against Bolton gets moved now. Not looking forward to a midweek trip to the Reebok which could potentially decide where we finish in the league.

It was going to be moved anyway, whoever won tonight. Doesn't matter if it's weekend or midweek, we never win there, so don't worry about it
