So Wilson, Keppel & Betty invite the media to take pictures and promote their new state of the art stadium. Boasting to the world and his wife how this will allow them to progress the club in the future, yet when there is a problem with seating or segregation it's someone else who's to blame as they only rent the place. It's win win for them.

It's comforting to know that our new stadium will have none of this half arsery, bodged up and general brickery surrounding it.......And that's basically because Levy would just not stand for it, he's on top of things at all times.

The 'London Stadium' which is pretentious bollards in itself, is a 'make do and mend' bodge job and has all the hallmarks of the 'brady bunch' in its 'sticking plaster' short termism and is just a personal money maker for the three of them. They will sell up and be long gone, ala Phillip Green, within a couple of seasons and I think it will still have to bulldozed and rebuilt if it hopes to survive as a football stadium. It has a messy death ahead of it.

As much as I like to see West Ham fail on the football pitch, I do feel a little sorry for the diehard Spammer fans who have been sold a pup here. The bottom line for real football fans is how good a stadium is to watch a match in. All the other stuff is somewhat irrelevant.
Their club is being gentrified.

It happened earlier in the year because the IOC don't want to have a brand sponsoring a stadium and attaching itself to the Olympic brand unless it's been thoroughly approved by them.
The same happened after the Sydney Olympics with the stadium being renamed 'Stadium Australia' just as the naming rights were about to be awarded.

If I'm not very much mistaken, when we did the whole judical review one of the outcomes is that legally West Ham have to keep the running track for the next 100 years.
Our plan was to bulldoze the stadium and invest in another athletics track (I think maybe crystal palace) and was the main reason for not winning our bid. They won because they agreed to keep the running track but the judge said that if that's why they won the bid they had to commit to it and not get rid of it later

It was. Not helped by trains being a bit up the creek. But most fans were going where they were directed, probably not realising there are other ways out of the station that get them to the same area. Teething problems. Although if an evening game ever coincides with major train delays it will be absolute chaos, and probably dangerous, as anyone who has been stuck in the tunnel walkways there when there are problems can attest to.

This made me laugh - for the reaction of the stewards. Can't tell what might have happened after the clip finishes but it looks like the bloke throwing the punches just sits back down.
It is not a laughing matter. The West Ham stewards and crowd think it is acceptable to punch an opposition fan in front of several children. Not one West Ham "fan" complains or intervenes about the man assaulting someone. Indeed many other "fans" join in as the victim is being escorted out of the ground. I hope the assailant, the steward and the club are prosecuted.
West Ham fans really are the knuckle dragging scum of the earth.
