The London Taxpayers' Stadium Shambles

They'll sort out the segregation issues and plumbing at some stage, and maybe even stump up for some proper stewards. What they can't fix is the sight lines and the poor viewing experience much as they've tried, and it seems like a lot of the agro has stemmed from that. People standing basically.

That stadium has been one fudge up after another from it's conception till now. All the plastic surgery in the world can't alter the fact that it's not a football stadium.

And the lack of unity! Wham fans definitely not feeling the stadium is their home. No doubt the shambles of a result doesn't help. But fighting each other, arms length stewarding, safety concerns, water poring through the roof, travel and access not as clean as publicised...it would be concerning. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch!

There are bound to be teething problems but when the football itself is better viewed on TV than from the remote stands, people have less patience.

There is a lesson to be learnt on clear categorisation of sections of the ground. We could have similar issues with tension between standers and sitters if we saw the Park Lane lower season ticket holders spread out and amongst East and Paxton stand supporters.

Total mismanagement by the brady bunch NOT paying for stewards who know football.
The whole club are more interested in cashing in on the stadium than the future of the club long term.
The fans hate the stadium.

The result will be that they will need to close more sections of the ground, to help segregate it properly and probably offer season ticket holders the option of changing their seat, so that they can sit with like minded fans.

A good start was so important for the board - they must turn this form round OR be in deep trouble. The fans have already stopped going I was told when talking to a season ticket holder.

its kinda like when Millwall have been to Wembley in recent times - large numbers of their general support who don't really bother going to most games throughout the season are now there en masse, but unlike Millwall at Wembley these guys have been handed season tickets for peanuts by the club to boost attendance figures and are there for the foreseeable rather than just turning up for a once in a blue moon day out

Edge of Regents Park should do it

If Karen Brady & Co were less interested in Feng Shui and more interested in working out the real life schematics of such a move they'd have much less problems, or better yet, would have abandoned the move all together.

Now it's starting to dawn on them that they've got rid of Upton Park forever and burdened themselves with something which will always be a hindrance.

No doubt their owners will be too stubborn to address any problems till the fans put enough pressure on them to sell up and get someone else to come in and perform damage limitation.

It appears the leadership at the club have done little in the way of planning for this massive event in the history of their club and have mislead the fans about investment in the stadium and playing staff. My mate has been unhappy about the whole thing, but thought there were just teething problems. He said Saturday was the nail in the coffin for him, he got soaked walking to the ground only to have water dripping on him through the roof. He's 70 and freely admits he doesn't like change and feel the security/stewarding are poor and there are lots of kids at the ground who are only there because it cost £99.

Oh forgot he was pleased to read Karen had personally been heavily involved in the selection of the decor for the entertainment suites and choosing the crockery and cutlery.
