I think we will get a CB (Dragusin) a CM to cover Sarr and a forward (Werner) and that will be business done for now. We may improve in the Summer but thats all dependent on us selling players from the first list i.e Lo Celso, Royale, Richie, Davies? Aswell potentially Sess and Skip and everyone from the last list, thats a lot of business to do and without selling we are not buying many players at all imo. This will take 3 or 4 more windows before we have fully got an Ange squad. Lots of players in the do we sell or keep list that Ange still uses so buying more will mean we will have a bloated squad with many being left out often.

Soz for the late reply but my response is as it was at the time I replied to you.
We haven't actually signed a CB as yet so we still need a CB. I don't expect a like for like for Maddison but I do want some depth for the role so that if Maddison has an off period we have another option or if a game is tight and we need some additional inspiration we have another option. I've said it many times, no team that actually wins things does so with a solitary creative player in their squad. We need options, for variety, for strength and for change.
For all those wing options I'm not really convinced tbh. I think take Son out and it's rather average. Werner may change that but that remains to be seen.
I do think we need more than just a striker in the summer. As I say we need a CB at least (that may happen this window), we need a LB we have no reliable or suitable backups for Udogie. If PEH does go with in this window or now we'll need another body for midfield as we'll be left with just Sarr, Bentancur, Bissouma and Maddison as good CM options (+Skipp). I've mentioned the need for another ACM earlier in this post. Now maybe that can be Kulu or even Donley I'd be willing to try them out. The wings need sorting in the sun er because performance wise it's a lot of meh. If Son isn't going to be the CF long term then we need a starting quality striker as well. Richy can be depth or moved on in that case.
So a little more than just a striker needed in the summer for me.

He wanted Scott since his bristol city days and came up with wild theories back then too as was the desperation to get the lad signed up ... all of a sudden even though he had been injured had single handedly made Bournemouth title contenders with Scott being the next Messi. However he is a good player

Still a couple of pieces (LB and RB to suit the style) but an amazing start, just 6 months in to Ange’s reign.
Add Phillips, Dorrington and the Croatian lad in too. Serious trophy winning fears.

It is quite a changeover. Good ages, all reasonably experienced already. All good technically (Dragusin to be seen of course). Importantly all are good at their primary role of defending and then all very good to excellent in possesion.
Beyond maybe a younger option stepping up Dorrington/Phillips or maybe bringing another CB option in the mould of Kelly I'm very happy now with our options at the back. The major surgery has been completed and it is the area of the squad that needed the most repair looking at the last few seasons.
It means we can now focus on other areas of the squad that need similar levels of improvement. In the summer we can revisit the attack. Evaluate who has done well, who can grow and who probably won't make it.
