Obika has scored 5 games in a row, 6 goals

I guess this means Townsend isn't going to be on the bench later then, not sure that is a good move.

With Bale, Lennon, Falque, Dempsey and Sigurdsson there really wouldn't have been place for him.
Better he get more game time with U21, didn't do to well in his last game for the first team neither.

he seems to play well in our teams but dont hear anything good about him when hes on loan

Final score in our U-18 match: Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Miller & Dombaxe add to earlier goals. Great win for the young Spurs!

I wonder about obika whether the club still feel he has a future or not, his main strengths seem to be his scoring rate but from what i got from yeovil website he is not a poacher.

Scored 4 in 10 games as a pure striker when he first went there,
second spell he was used a lot out wide - never looked the same for them.

if we see him as a pure striker we should loan him to a club that would play him in that position so we can have a fair guide to how good he is.

Good point. Getting a loanee at the right club is vital.

Maybe Bostock will listen to Paolo Di Canio rather than Charlie Championship. Here's hoping.

Adam Smith made an encouraging debut for in-form Millwall in the Championship on Saturday.

The flying full-back played 90 minutes as the Lions produced a fine 4-1 victory against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Adam was involved in Millwall's opening goal after just three minutes - he was fouled and from the resulting free-kick, Liam Trotter fired home.

Two of our younger players made their debuts in the FA Cup.

Nathan Byrne (pictured above) only lasted 27 minutes after picking up an ankle injury as Crawley Town overcame a tough away tie in the first round with a 2-1 win at Met Police.

Jordan Archer saved a penalty for Wycombe at Crewe but he could do little to stop the Alex running away with a 4-1 win with two goals in each half.

In the Premier League, Danny Rose was an unused substitute as Sunderland lost 1-0 at home to Villa.

Away from the UK and Simon Dawkins and our partner club San Jose Earthquakes claimed a huge win in the MLS play-offs.

On his way back from an ankle injury, Simon came off the bench just before the hour as the Earthquakes scored a 94th-minute winner in their Western Conference semi-final, first leg against LA Galaxy at the Home Depot Center, 1-0 the final score.

The teams meet again in San Jose on Wednesday for a place in the Western Conference final. Real Salt Lake and Seattle are contesting the other semi-final and drew 0-0 in the first leg.

In Greece, Bongani Khumalo played 90 minutes as PAOK beat Panionios 2-1 in a second-vs-third match in the Greek Super League.

In Russia, David Bentley played 62 minutes as FC Rostov suffered a 2-1 defeat at Zenit in the Russian Premier League.

U-19 NEXTGEN SERIES BARCELONA v SPURS

Alex Inglethorpe is determined to impose the Tottenham style on Barcelona when we take on the famous Catalans in the NextGen Series on Wednesday night.

The teams meet at Barca’s 15,000-seater Mini Estadi in the shadow of the Nou Camp in the penultimate match of Group One. Kick-off is 4.45pm UK time.

Barca top our group in the Under-19 competition after four games, including a 2-0 win at White Hart Lane back in September. That is our only defeat as we sit in second place.

"You can go there and play with fear, perhaps park the bus, but that’s not the Tottenham style and not the Tottenham way," said coach Alex.

"We have to go and take them on in a football match and we’re capable of that. That’s what we want to do and if we go too far away from our DNA, it might cause us problems. I’d rather go there and try to play our way.

"I’m not sure how many opportunities you get as a professional footballer to play in Barcelona.

"Since I’ve been at the club we’ve played them once in a tournament, a semi-final that we won, once at White Hart Lane in the NextGen and the first team played them in the Wembley Cup in pre-season in 2009.

"In terms of playing away at Barcelona, the club hasn’t done that for a long time. That being the case, it’s an opportunity some of the players might not have again so I don’t want them to have any regrets.

"It’s good we’ve played them recently and although we didn’t win that game, there’s certainly no fear attached to playing them. We know we can play better than we did that night at White Hart Lane, but even in not playing well, we certainly matched them in footballing terms that night."
