The Academy, NextGen, U18 & U21 Premier League and On-Loan Thread

But it's not just this thread. Every other thread has a "AVBs preferred formation" discussion in it.

It's easily understandable.

Player thread: what position should we play player X in.

Transfer thread: what positions do we need to buy players in?

OMT: what formation will we play?

And that's the majority of the threads around right there.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has predicted on-loan winger Andros Townsend will be a Premier League force next season.

Tottenham player Townsend has scored two goals in 15 league appearances for QPR, and again proved his potential with a decent performance in the 1-0 loss to Arsenal, making life difficult for Gunners defender Nacho Monreal.

Redknapp says there is much more to come from the 21-year-old, commenting: "He'll be a top player. He gets at people, he attacks you. [Arsenal] paid £10 million for the left-back and he has ripped him apart.

"He is relentless. He just runs at you, runs at you, runs at you. He has been first-class. It's difficult for him back at Spurs. You've got [Aaron] Lennon and [Gareth] Bale there, so it will be hard for him to play regularly. He'll have his work cut out.

"But he'll be a good player for Spurs next year. He will go back there a better player. He has proved to himself what he can do. He has proved he can play in the Premier League."

And Redknapp believes the England Under-21 international's versatility will make him an attractive option for any Premier League club next season.

"It is up to Tottenham. He will want to play," Redknapp said. "He is good enough to play somewhere. And he has proved he can do that.

"I've played him off the right, whereas they played him off the left all the time. I think the right suits him. He comes in off the right and can get shots in. I think it's a move that suits him."

But Redknapp is under no illusions he will not have Townsend at his disposal next season as the London club fall back into the Championship.

Harry ain't got a clue lol. Or was it an attempt at I am the one and mighty Harry Redknapp and change these players into world beaters.. Cough**** Bale's best position is left back ****Cough

Townsend scored for us in the Carling cup around September when he picked up the ball on the right side, carried the ball, cut in on his left and shot from 25 yards to score beating the keeper low to his left hand post.

He is so full of brick.

It was probably him that played him on the left in 2011-12 season haha

I think he's referring to the position he was developed in at the academy. Like most things Redknapp related, people get outraged and react with scorn without really thinking too much about it. Also he had several loans. So we don't really know whether Harry was talking about Andro's time in our first team or not, given how little he played it' unlikely. Let's just be thankful for good development he got at QPR.

The majority under Harry yeah

Anyway.. One of his last games for us this season

Thought he played on the right and cut in.

I really think he'll do a job for us next year. He's been triffic for 'Arry this season. And goodness me how long ago was that? Seems like ages ago. Was Walker playing LB?

Everton v Saudi Sportswashing Machine in the U21 Play-off tonight at Goodison Park KO 19:00.

The winner will face Spurs in the Semi-Final, probably at White Hart Lane on 11th May, although there hasn't been an official announcement yet.

The other Semi-Final is between Manchester United & Liverpool at Old Trafford.
