It's interesting when you think about it. We/his agent got him really good loan moves to the right clubs. Teams that were on the verge of doing something and both looked at him and could see the potential quality he could add to them but he didn't really excel in either move. A shame really as he is immensely talented but he possibly hasn't had the drive needed and was a victim of the various manager changes at Spurs.

As you write he's had a couple of good opportunities with his loans and has failed to convince any team to sign him, I don't see him as a victim of various managers at Spurs but rather a flawed individual who failed to take the chances he was lucky to get. I've little sympathy for any player who doesn't match their efforts to the obscene salaries they get.

Only thing he is a victim of is laziness.
