That's exactly the kind of nonsense that gets ITKs hated. Its easy to say ignore and take with a bucket of salt, but its impossible not to briefly get excited by the prospect, before common sense prevails a fraction of second later. We're all waiting for some sort of news and that is exactly what we want to hear.

Sandro and Parker didn't work especially well together when we tried this before. It has always been better with 1 destroyed and 1 retainer/ballplayer in the deeper 2.
AVB's system is 4-3-3, rather than 4-2-3-1 which is even more setup for a ballwinner (Sandro), ball retainer/player (Modric/Moutinho/Sahin), box-to-box goalscorer (Sig). M'Vila would just be a replacement for Parker as Sandro's deputy IMO.

Mourinho played 4-3-3 with a dm (makelele), a box to box cm (Tiago or Essien), and a goalscoring attacking cm (Lampard). He won plenty of titles playing that for Chelski.
Maybe AVB wants to do the same which explains the M'Villa signing. A DM (Parker, Sandro), a combatitive energetic cm (m'villa) and a goalscoring attacking CM (Sigurddson).

BTW How long would it take to integrate a new keeper into the starting 11? Assuming of course that he speaks french and English. Could you throw him straight in as first choice there and then or would it take some time in training in order to learn the methods, set piece-defending etc??

M'Vila is nothing like Parker though. Them two in the middle would be like Gilberto Silva and Vieira and we know how much that worked at Arsenal..

Lloris doesn't excite me in the slightest even if it was true. Maybe it would next summer but I still don't see Gk as a need right now especially with our obvious shortage of strikers
