Spurs: Your worst moments......

rumors of the players losing faith in Redknapp are starting to gain more and more credibility

I'd rather coherent strategies for attacking play and defensive organisation than heart. This is what we are lacking, as far as I can see. Bale, van der Vaart, Lennon just playing where they like, both fullbacks failing to cover runners properly, Parker and Sandro doing their best to make it look like we're playing without defensive midfielders, rather than two of them, Defoe as a lone striker with long diagonal balls humped towards him by Gallas.

Complete shambles, and no amount of 'heart' is going to overcome that kind of organisational deficit.

Haha. Cannot believe that people do this, its usually only small time championship fans that do that. I couldn't give a toss about Real v Barca. Im a spurs fan not a football fan.

I wouldn't mind but Real v Barca is more of a pantomime or a soap opera than a football game.

Firstly if you watch games earlier in the season we played with a similar tempo actually. But what we did to cut teams open was get at the full backs and get crosses in or pull backs. We did none of that today. The reason we didn't do that today is because you're right, we didn't move the ball quick enough to the wide players. Why? Because the wide players didn't stay wide. They kept moving in the centre, so it just got congested. If they had moved LESS and stayed wide more then we could've played at a higher tempo.
Or could it be that the wide players moved infield as the fullbacks nor the CMs were getting the ball to them quick enough. The same reason that VDV drops down deep. Our midfield does not recycle possession quickly enough. If we had a carrick or a thudd we would be playing with so much more urgency.

I have to agree there punk, as much as I think parker has done a good job this season we need someone who takes it out to the wings, whilst different in position and mentality modric and parker are similar in the sense that they like to either keep the ball or pass it through the middle, we have missed Huddlestone for a while and I can't wait for him to come back, i just hope he can get the right fitness and dietary services that would make him capable of at least being able to keep up with the pace of the game because he can be dangerous with his passing to the wings and into the box one of the few direct players we've got.

=D>

Redknapp relies on simply his man management skills to get by......but we can only get so far by this method

Just need a few more characters around the place, that'll fix it, triffic.

they kept mentioning this during the commentary today...did Redknapp really say something about the dressing room lacking enough characters? if he did, im sorry but he is an idiot of the highest order

The players are equally to blame

I'm as angry and frustrated with Harry as anyone else, but in my opinion the players must take just as much of the stick.

I don't care how useless Harry has been, one man can't change a team that much. And this lot look clueless, like they couldn't give a toss, and generally pathetic. Not one of them can be proud at the moment. Sod them all

The players are partly to blame of course but their confidence has taken a battering. And for a CL-chasing team to introduce the likes of Ryan Nelsen and Louis Saha midway through the season - well, for all that Harry says they are top, top characters, you'd hardly be inspired to play better by such acquisitions. Not exactly throwing down the gauntlet to the rest of the league.

all is a natural knock on effect from the manager being distracted by the England job

You honestly think they give that much of a toss about Harry? I don't think so.

They can't say just because there's speculation about their manager leaving that that excuses lack of passion, talent or anything else. They are all brilliant, some of the best in the league, at coming out and saying they're confident about winning, about how good they all are, but when the crunch comes they crumble like a pack of cards. I'm equally angry at the likes of primma donna Bale, VDV etc as I am at Harry.

Where is the pride and professionalism from the players? Even if you think the manager is a **** or you know he's going in the summer, don't you wanna play in the fudging Champions League next season? ](*,)

it's the manager - the main man, the guy that everything revolves around, the one that leads the team - you cannot underestimate the effect a half interested unfocused/unmotivated manager would have on his players, to suggest it has little to no effect is ridiculous

that's no to say the players are totally without blame

It's up to the manager to motivate the players and get them in the right frame of mind. In Redknapp's case, motivational skills are his one real strength. I don't think a manager who is known to be leaving the club can do as effective a job in that area.
