Spurs: Your worst moments......

clown shoe on Talksport this morning...

I of course meant Harry....

Quote from his interview on talksport this morning...

When asked about Spurs current form....

ÔÇ£I think people forget where Tottenham should be at times. TheyÔÇÖve got two Carling Cup wins since 1991, and the average finishing position ÔÇô up until about four or five years ago - is probably about 10th. You can get carried away with where you should be and who you are really.ÔÇØ

"I even got Champions League one season, something they'd never had! That was their highest finish for nearly 20 years! When I went there they had 2 points from 8 games and the squad was the biggest mess you'd ever seen. Absolutely all over the place. We got 7th that season and I've left them with the strongest squad in the league, outside of Manchester."

This is one of the many reasons why this gobbrick should be fudging no-where near Spurs next season.

NO real heart...

Tail end of the season, the BUSINESS end of the season, with 'favourable' fixtures......only one problem

we are playing guys that either have a say in the title, trying to avoid relegation, trying to make europe or CL

for some reason everyone else has fight and more guts than us.

seems like our players are not feeling the energy and desire you need to make a real statement.

No heart unfortunately...and its seeping into some of the more battle ready players it seems

such a shame.

Why I don't 100% shoot down the Redknapp is off and he's lost the dressing room rumours, they don't look up for it.

I stayed to the bitter end. So did most of us.

Shame it didn't help.

Everyone has more fight, more guts, more plans, more strength, more speed, more fitness, and most damning of all...more skill.

Where does that stem from? The one place we have little to no access to; Spurs Lodge, and the quaint little world of 'Arry.

We've had an FA cup and Cl qualification to fight for. That's what these bottling players want isn't it? Trophies, more money, exposure on the biggest stage?

No guts, not effort, no nothing. What I have noticed is that there is absolutely no movement off the ball either. Players are just standing around flat footed, all over the pitch.

I actually think the opposite. I think there is too much movement, and because of that no one knows where they are meant to be and no one can move the ball quick. If you know where to find players you can pass the ball quicker. We had two wingers on the pitch in the second half and still relied on the full backs to provide us with width. It's just fudging nuts.

Reminds me a lot of a couple of seasons towards the end under Burkinshaw.

Parker is the only one who seems to give a brick.

I thought this was a thread about people fudging off after 60 minutes to watch another game.
Haha. Cannot believe that people do this, its usually only small time championship fans that do that. I couldn't give a toss about Real v Barca. Im a spurs fan not a football fan.

Where then are the little runs inviting a through ball, something you think we would be doing with Defoe? Middle of midfield, no urgency. Even Waddle could see, it we were playing too slowly. We were at our best when playing at a faster tempo. Yeah thats right too much movement up front, thats what killed us, what match were you watching?

Firstly if you watch games earlier in the season we played with a similar tempo actually. But what we did to cut teams open was get at the full backs and get crosses in or pull backs. We did none of that today. The reason we didn't do that today is because you're right, we didn't move the ball quick enough to the wide players. Why? Because the wide players didn't stay wide. They kept moving in the centre, so it just got congested. If they had moved LESS and stayed wide more then we could've played at a higher tempo.

they're all simpleton ****s who deserve everything this season gives them... it's just a shame the Spurs fans are having to take it 'on their behalf'

fudging had it... Harry's a ****, they're all ****s... fudge off and put a transfer request in, 'cos when a TRUE CL club comes in for you in the Summer, you'll be tossing on about how it's always been your dream to play CL... well here's a thought; why not fudging put a shift in and make sure you got it HERE??

fudge football, fudge Harry.. fudge the players who will go home and fudge their trophy missus... (as long as she consents of course!)

what snivelling wreck of a man have you turned me into Tottenham... I fudging hate you more than ArseAnal at this precise moment in time... though I realise that feeling will soon wear off!

bring back the Spurs Drum, just so I can sing this; "BOOM-BOOM, BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM C U N T S!!"

You really are long in the tooth if you can remember something like that so vividly. quite impressive that.

but yeah parker is actually one of the guys that are battle ready that seem to be getting sucked into this void. he'd do his bit but then our players are backing off the opposition and then cautiously edging forward

or form and confidence is totally blown out the water

I do agree about the lack of width.

I just think the players are trying to do too much. VDV drops too deep, and does so even when Modric is deep. Even with two DM's Modric drops too deep and picks the ball off of the centre halves. The wide players play too narrow hunting for the ball. We simply aren't balanced.

The other thing is with the wide players coming infield, it means the opposition full backs can come in tighter. That means the centre halves can play narrower. That means a very compressed compact back four that's very difficult to break down. At times Defoe was on his own against four players.

We need to play wider from the midfield. Stretch the oppositon, therefore their centre halves play wider creating gaps to put them ball through or players to run into. We just play so narrow.

And the thing I don't know why we are doing it! Chelsea are a prime example for me. Ancelotti did the double but played with width. Then he decided to play a sort of diamond and Chelsea faltered and despite having the best team failed. AVB comes in and makes the same mistake, not enough width. Utd play with tons of width, and until the New Year so did we this season.
