***Spurs v spammers***

Must say, I’ve been critical over the seasons of Dier because of his constant brain farts but again today I thought he looked solid. In fact defensively in general we definitely look a more secure unit. That at least is something.

Second half was disappointing, but don’t think it was all that bad. If Kane and others had a better final ball we could have really been in business.

This place has a habit of making out like the world is about to end after a defeat. Yet last time I checked we are 2points off 4th and are more than capable of righting the wrongs in reverse fixtures against Arsenal and West Ham at home. It’s all to play for this season still….
Yep
The defence looks as good as it has for some time and will get better
Need a way to unlock deep lines now (we always struggle with that) and need to trust the attacking options on the bench more

Weird to mention Bergwijn, who was subbed on in injury time. WTF was he supposed to achieve in all of 2 minutes and 30 seconds?
.
This is the type of player we seem to buy all the time now. Cost 20 - 30 mil but never seem to turn into the players we think they should. What I`m trying to say is we buy average players all the time. For instance PSG would not let Moura go for 25 million if he was above average

3 or 4 times we could easily have pinged the ball across for a tap-in.

We messed them all up.

Other than that, it was dull and 3 touch and slow but Spam hardly had a chance... so we could have easily won, but couldn't pass across the box for some reason.
Kane’s crosses
He was so good at them last season
Everyone was too close today

I'm not Nuno's greatest fan but I dont think we learned anything today that we didnt know before

We'll finish somewhere between 6th and 9th I think. Whether thats enough to save Nuno, I'm not sure
Not sure that’s enough for me to keep me wanting to keep Nuno, he’s too passive.

I don't believe he is the long term solution but he does deserve time to see if he can improve things.
The shape etc looks better but he does need to work on attacking patterns and speed of play.
If he's sticking with PEH and Skipp, which I've no prob with, he needs to get more out of the full backs when attacking.
The one worry is that he doesn't seem to influence games positively once they've started. He either doesn't use subs
or uses them to late. He never seems to make tactical tweaks to the team either during the game. He just stands
there looking like a rabbit caught in the headlights

Why?
He has done better than Poch did in his first 10 games
Win next week and we’re in a decent position
We only lose to London teams it seems

There is no point in replacing the manager.

This squad was left to rot and be mismanaged for 4 seasons, its going to take more than one window to sort whoever is in charge.

We have Moura as an CAM at the moment ffs

I dont think he will be here next season, but there is zero point in getting rid now.

We don’t
He was meant to playing RW
Weirdly he was everywhere but there
Maybe that was tactical
I honestly don’t know

He spends most time in that position and dropping deep - so it has to be tactical

I maybe wrong - Id like to see his heat map.
He was supposed to be on the right and Tanguy in the middle from what I could see. However he didn't stay there and it was a big problem.
It allowed WH to defend within the width of their box and made it almost impossible to play through them as we had no width to stretch them.

Dier did well. Romero did okay, needs more games to settle. Can see his potential. He's only 23 after all.

Those saying we didn't look like scoring, I disagree. Son squares the ball, and Kane has a tap-in. Kane's square ball to Son is more accurate and its a tap in. Ndombele skews his header or directs it into the corner of the gaol instead of at the keeper... Kane heads the ball down from Reggie's cross... Moura sets up Son and it's a point-blank finish 7 yards out facing the goal... Reggies doesn't spaff the ball away conceeding a corner... I think we played okay, not amazing, but the fundamentals were okay.

For me, the thing I wanted to see, was us playing the ball through midfield more. We need to work on that. Ndombele, Moura, Skipp, and Hojgjerg need to be ready and able to play fast interchanges to work the ball more often. We do it at times, and it works well. But a lot of the time we don't and go long. With Ndombele and Moura in there we can skip away from challenges opening space to pass, we just need more fast coordinated passes beforehand to open up space. Not easy against wham who pack the centre. So I am not too perturbed. An okay performance, where we were a tad unlucky.

But why didnt Nuno demand he move and when he continued to ignore him haul him off.

I agree it caused us trouble

Better finishing and we would have won. Son, Moura, Kane, Ndombele all not converting decent openings. Reggie almost setup a goal but then gave away the corner and might have conceded a header too first half.

Frustrating game as we were the more potent first half and could have scored 4.

Our final ball all game was just so poor.
