Indeed. Since when is ‘Get up you diving pussy’ a yellow…..I do want to find out why Romero was booked

Time to sadly change the coach/manager.
Thought we were unlucky to lose, but never really thought we deserved to win.
It was a frustrating watch because I expected so much more urgency and energy from players who have been rested for the whole week. All well and good being solid defensively - although West Ham, with better finishing, could have been a couple up at half time - but either we can't keep hold of the ball when we have it, or when we have it, we hold it for far too long.
I'm not in panic mode by any means, but I am coming to terms with this being our way of playing going forward. If it's enough to get us at least into the Europa next season, then maybe Nuno will have done his job. But it's going to be a hard watch.
He has only ever had one defensive side in his teams he has managedAgreed. Both teams today played with two defensive CMs so it was always going to be tight and a draw would have been fair
Will be interesting to see whether Levy accepts this given he'll be focussed on hte image of the club, as well as results. I'm not sure I see Nuno changing from the Skipp-PEH axis in CM or also whether he knows how to coach an attacking team
He has only ever had one defensive side in his teams he has managed
And weirdly it’s the attackers from that team that stand out
I’m not sure too many ‘better options’ would accept our job mate. Lots knocked us back last summer (hence us ending up with Nuno).Players look tired and uninspired so if this continues then he’ll be out once a better option becomes available (one who’ll take the job that is).
To be fair everyone passed up on Antonio when he was a youngster.Only watched the brief highlights on sky YouTube channel.
What I saw was as has been mentioned. Son should have squared for Kane to tap in, Soucek should have scored his header from 6 yards as should have Kane. Pen decision looked correct to me but only saw the one angle. Decent side West Ham but really should have got at least a draw especially with all our 11 fresh (never seems to work for us?!) Reggie balls up cost us the goal and had to be Antonio...
Commentator mentioned we let him go as a 14 year old after a trial, should have just kept him on the books like Carter Vickers.
Agreed. Both teams today played with two defensive CMs so it was always going to be tight and a draw would have been fair
I'd make all 11 play against Burnley on Wednesday in the cup
Wolves and us makes two (though it could be more as I haven’t seen any of his other teams to comment on them)He has only ever had one defensive side in his teams he has managed
And weirdly it’s the attackers from that team that stand out
Two crosses creating headers on goal is actually a large amount in a game. Taking him off was the wrong move IMO as he was actually stretching them unlike Royal on the right.I fear everything gets clogged up by Kane. He really has become poor at leading the line. He simply doesn't compete with the centre halves any more. There is no intensity to his game and closing down. I well remember when he first broke into the side, his sprinting in closing down (in conjunction with Son and All) was key to winning the ball back quickly in the opposition half and was key to the Poch's team success.
He simply isn't doing the basics any more. Don't know if it his head or his body but it simply not good enough. He needs to be dropped and hopefully a spell out of the team may invigorate him. We need to get some width in the team.
And what has happened to Reggie's crossing? Yes he could have had two assists with headers by NDummy and Kane but most never cleared the first man. Same with our corners. Truly shocking crossing today all round.
Nuno needs to give them a real rollicking and get them playing from the first whistle,
We did not deserve a goal today, heck we did not have a single a shot on target in the second half, so after concedeing a goal how do you reckon we deserved a draw?
I’m unlucky enough to be going…. I’m hoping for a pleasant surprise! That looks like its going to be a cracking thrill a minute game.
Because shots on target doesn’t tell the whole story and if you want to insist on that stat West Ham had the same number of shots on target as us. We created chances, and crucially three or more examples of poor decision making and execution regarding the final ball when there had been good build up play was the issue. We lost due to poor play from Reggie and the resulting corner. Neither team was great, but if the game had ended up a draw literally no one would have said we didn’t deserve a point….We did not deserve a goal today, heck we did not have a single a shot on target in the second half, so after concedeing a goal how do you reckon we deserved a draw?

Royal was (I think) meant to act as CB in that changeTwo crosses creating headers on goal is actually a large amount in a game. Taking him off was the wrong move IMO as he was actually stretching them unlike Royal on the right.
Taking Sergio seemed to be a reaction to costing the corner that lead to the goal rather than to the rest of the game. He was giving width on the left, we needed a change to give that on the right. Taking Moura off and putting Gil on with orders to stay wide right would've been a better choice imho. Two crosses creating headers on goal is actually a large amount in a game.
