***Spurs v spammers***

Everything was too slow, taking 4 and 5 touches just to pass the ball back to where it came from.
Son, Kane and Moura were poor, but the amount of time WH had to get their players back into position and packed the box and just in front and not allow them any space.
No width to try and stretch them, Royal didn't get forward at all to offer an option. When we did try to use Reguillon the majority of the balls sailed about 10 feet over his head.

Didn't understand the subs either when they were finally made. Tanguy is about the only player we had that could make a final pass but Nuno takes him off instead of PEH when we need a goal.
Gil for Moura would've made more sense too and try and get a little bit of width down the right.

You don’t beat West Ham with slow build up
You also need to make their cbs work harder and turn

fudging so frustrated with that performance and result. We weren't terrible but we never ever looked like scoring. I don't know how you manage that with Kane and Son in your team but both were awful today.

So devoid of creativity. And the amount of times we take an easy sideways or backwards pass is scary. They were also much better organised than us which helped stifle what little creativity we had.

Writing off the season. We just aren't good enough and while Nuno deserves time, things need to get better because this isn't good enough.

Thought Hugo, Dier and Skipp were about the best of our players today. Romero was good at times but made some bad mistakes too. Kane and Son were poor.

Nuno may or may not be the right man, but hes been handed a squad with a poor attitude and next to no creativaty

Surely there cant be anyone left that doesnt think another striker wasnt needed or he would be sitting on the bench

That was looking like 0-0 all through that 2nd half but as soon as Reggie fudged up you knew they would score from it. We just don't get away with mistakes like that. Never have, never will.
Nuno looked rightly tinkled off with him as he came off. Cost us the game, as well as the bricky marking from Kane.

I actually didn't think we were that bad, unlucky to lose really.

What's frustrating is the usual self inflicted problems; taking risks at the back (for their goal) and rushing the final pass on multiple occasions.

If we'd just signed a player who performed like he did today (and ever worse against Arsenal), it would be close to the worst signing of all time.

Agreed, he’s been our worst player this season and he’s really fudging our attack with his lackadaisical attitude. It’s even got so deep as to effect his technique. When Son signed that contract I wanted Kane gone and us to reinvest the money and ride the momentum. You can’t have your talisman putting in these performances, it’s terrible for spirit.

We have to improve our set pieces, they are so important. How many points have West Ham won just from them in the last 2 years? Loads.

Today, last week at Everton and their first 2 in midweek against Genk were from corners too.

It's a way of scoring when you don't create much.... And we don't create much!

West Ham play to their strengths, it’s why Reguilon should have a word with himself because they weren’t looking like scoring from open play. They score from set pieces and then sit back and deal with crosses (not that we tried any, the last twenty minutes were baffling). It’s very Martin O’Neil.

Yep
It’s effective for them
Nothing wrong with it

Good grief 4 London derbies and we have lost them all. Surely we have some acadamy players who would give a better showing than the likes of Moura and Bergwijn to name just 2. We just dont move the ball quick enough when we need to. So frustrating watching this team at the moment. But the Spammers are well organised and are hard to beat even if they are not that spectacular.
The trouble with Spurs are we always hang on to players for too long. Any other team in our position would have cashed in on Kane early in the window and got at least 2 quality players in to rebuild with. Thats apart from fringe players like Winks etc who we could get 20 mil for. Trouble is top quality players dont want to play for mid table teams

Kane was stood like a statue while Antonio stuck out a leg.

Also, the ball just cleared Moura and Skipp before dropping for Antonio. Why have 2 of our shortest players on the near post? Anyone else would have got something on it.

We wouldn’t
That kind of money isn’t enough for a player good enough to replace him once people know you have it
The smart thing to do is what other side's do and that is to get the player in before you sell. Whether that's the same window or more ideally an earlier window so there is some overlap. That's what the likes of Athletico and Lyon typically do. But we don't, I guess because we know better. [emoji52]

You need to buy players who are good on set pieces. Taking and attacking. Let’s see how Romero is attacking them though haven’t seen much of that yet.

I don't know about you guys, but this period is weird. Nuno isn't a Spurs manager, and everyone knows it. Feels like everyone, players, fans and club is just waiting for it to end. Seems like a totally wasted season.
He is a manager to get us away from jose and onto the next guy
He is also here to settle in the new signings who are all young
He has got us much better organised than what we had for most of last season which can only be a good thing in the long run

Weird to mention Bergwijn, who was subbed on in injury time. WTF was he supposed to achieve in all of 2 minutes and 30 seconds?
