Serious relegation fears

Was looking at our run-in again and whilst its tough, the last 5 games could conceivably be against teams who have nothing to play for. Would rather that than playing against teams who are fighting relegation or for European places etc

Stoke, West Brom, Chelsea, Southampton and Saudi Sportswashing Machine - the first three look like firmly being in mid-table and even 5 games out (15 points to play for) when we play Stoke, there's a good chance their season will be over.

Stoke's season is already over, but West Brom are about to be sucked into the relegation fight.

I don't think the Leicester fans like us.

Think spurs are our biggest threat!!
But they've had a spawny run of easier fixtures!

Not that I consider Spurs title contenders, but come on Watford and QSF, go on and take some points off them!

Spurs dropping points will be great but I can't see that happening

Spurs playing like how they did against us.

No offence to Watford but I don't think they are as good as us on the counter so will struggle to get something here. Spurs will get a goal if they keep the pressure on.

Come on Watford - do these a *holes

Come on you Hornets. I genuinely think Spurs are our biggest rivals.

Bollox

tossy Spurs Scum!!!!!!

Oh just realised there are actually people inside White Hart Lane watching the game

Spurs and us the two form teams at the moment... Just shows how good that win away was to Spurs for us

Question is, who do we go for next Sunday in the Emirates Marketing Project v Spurs game? Draw?

Draw would be ideal. Other than that Emirates Marketing Project win

A draw is ideal

Spurs haven't played ANYONE decent in the league since we beat them!!

Spurs will fade.

Spuds easy run of fixtures over!
Emirates Marketing Project next week!... City will beat them!

Spurs' away fixtures now are absolutely atrocious, they'll do well to get more than 10 points from this lot, which would need them probably needing 6 wins out of 6 at home to have any chance of winning the title.

Spuds have a real fixture pile up ahead of them so there will be more demands on their squad

ANYONE else but bloody Spurs!.. Their fans are macarons!

Spurs fans are absolutely insufferable. It will make it all the sweeter if we manage the title in what is supposed to be THEIR year.

Complete roosters!!
Really hope Emirates Marketing Project beat them next week!

Hope Emirates Marketing Project smash Spurs next week. Would love spurs to finish 5th. Did I tell everyone I hate Spurs?

Snap!!!
Their fans are the tacos of the earth!!

Yep, ruddy awful.

Unbelievable sense of entitlement despite the fact they are just perpetual mid-tablers.

Emirates Marketing Project have been good, even clapping us off... Spurs fans however.. been big dingdongs , guess the fact we have spent more time at the top this season than they have ever means they are bitter

i really want Emirates Marketing Project to batter spurs, Aguero hat-trick

please please please

Despite the absolute excellence of this season - it will all be slightly tainted if we finish behind Spurs.

I don't even consider Spurs title rivals

We took 4 points off them this season so they're naturally a bitter bunch. If we had rolled over like Norwich and allowed them to beat us 3-0 they'd pat us on the back and say "well done, you played well"..

At least Chelsea, Emirates Marketing Project and Man Utd fans have shown genuine respect to us after we beat them but Spurs fans are the most unbearable ***** in the league.

This one was really something though:

I see how everyone (pundits) have highlighted the Spurs win rather than us,

I watched both games.

We were awesome, totally in control. Best I have seen us play, organised, compact, confident.

Spurs were ok but just scraped it tbh. Watford held them for most of the game. Chromosome boy was useless (but he's the best striker in the PL surely, right?)

They will lose at Emirates Marketing Project next weekend. Emirates Marketing Project won't roll over twice at home.

as for us ??? who knows! draw

Man Utd are going to be key to the remainder of this season. Leicester and Arsenal both need to go to Old Trafford, whereas us and City will be playing them at home. Their record in the big league games under Van Gaal is actually pretty good, bar their spanking at the Emirates earlier in the season.

Really need Chelsea to do us a favour this afternoon. If United win today and then beat Sunderland at home on a weekend that the top four are all playing each other they'll be right back in the mix. But if they lose today the likelihood is they'll be seven points off a top four spot and their best chance of CL football will be through winning the Europa League. With any luck, that will certainly be the case by the time we play them so they'll be resting players at White Hart Lane, as that game falls either side of the two EL quarter-finals.

I suppose what's clear is that we're likely looking at a 50% change to the CL regulars should we and Leicester (nailed on) make top 4.

That's great for us, great to break up the monopoly and fantastic for football. I just hope we can see it through.

I can see Man U coming back stronger if Jose goes there, but I wonder if Chelsea could be in for some time in the relative wilderness? I think Liverpool will still be way off next season and Wenger won't go I forever, so is this our chance for try to cement our position of top 4 regulars?

Problem is that whoever finishes 4th faces a tricky CL play-off, and that assumes that Chelsea don't go and win the CL this season

Utterly speechless, one season does not make them world beaters.

As for the comment about staying top longer they we have, just remind me how many titles we have compared to them.

Yes it is nice to be top and for long periods, no denying, but its who is top after 38 games that really matters.
A team can be top for 37 matches and how ever many weeks that works out at, but if they arent there after the 38th match it means f#ck all

Stoke's season is already over, but West Brom are about to be sucked into the relegation fight.

Villa away and WBA at home are the matches that may have to be rearranged if we progress to the semis of the FA Cup, so that home match may be postponed until May by which time they could/should be safe

A point made in my paper today was that the Leicester team responded to the pressure of being bottom last year, and that makes them likely to laugh in the face of pressure to win the title.
