I seriously doubt it. They have not maintained it and now it is failing.

Russia has committed its full invasion force now, according to the Americans. And it won't be enough because Ukrainians love their country more than Russians wish to destroy it.

i do find it a little hard to believe that Putin would be that stupid though. Unless he really is Ill or separated from reality.

Putin is a vile despot, but he also appears to be mentally unstable which is not a good look for a bloke with a bunch of nukes at his disposal.

he’ll carpet bomb Ukraine like he did Syria. And because he thinks no one will stop him it’s unlikely he’ll stop there.

Can only hope. Some of those reports about problems with equipment, supply lines and morale can be read with some optimism.

Also reports that Putin is shutting down social media access. May say something about him not being able to control the narrative even internally.

At the same time it does seem like the Russian army has a very solid terror bombing capability. May be difficult for the Ukrainians to fight their way out to stop that. With the threat of nukes looming other countries are unlikely to step in.

Will Putin just keep bombing/shelling indiscriminately hoping for some path to success? Will they be able to fix some of their supply problems? Do they have more high quality equipment ready to deploy?

If NATO had cojones they'd burst through Belarus and encircle what's in Ukraine by closing the routes out to Russia.

I’ve read similar.

We have some Canadians on here who can correct me, but it appears that the anti Trudeau stuff on Twitter has pretty much disappeared.

It’s scary how manipulative it can be. People are dying and nuclear powers are facing off and people are talking about gender neutral toilets. We are broken.

In the US, nearly all the rightwing media hosts have disappeared off the top 10 performing lists. The information war has been running for years. If we get through this social media is another thing that needs to be fixed somehow.

I agree, but the base problem isn’t social media technology, it’s that people are stupid clams, we’ve lost the ability to think critically and verify information. It’s a failure of education.

Always go for rooster-up over conspiracy, and I doubt the battlefield comms are better than any of their other kit. There have been quite a few red-on-red incidents, I believe.
