Absolutely. Problem is ENIC aren't going anywhere so you have to focus on the problems that are changeable.

I said a few weeks ago that in the first friendly we played we were 1-0 and started managing the game as half time approached.

Ange went mental at them at half time for playing the clock and said that we should be always looking to attack and score.

This is they way we're coached to play

Yep. That is the sad reality of the situation. My first thought when both our goals went in was....Too early!!

We've seen it too often, no game management and brainless defending means a game is never won that early for us.

Pretty sure Ange doesn't want players to lose the ball aimlessly like Biss did. Then race back to give up our lead senselessly. Sarr too. There is no making allowances for both tackles. Its the manager. Its tenuous at best, and deluded at worst, to put those fouls in the box, with the ball moving away from goal, at the feet of Postecoglou. Obviously you don't like him. Have no patience and want him sacked. But at least find something believable to blame him for.

It's not, but Sarr isn't going to run a game in that position.

Bissouma and Bentancur are better options with gray and unknown quantity there for us. But noone is showing they are good enough long term.

We look a lot better with a 6 and an 8 than two 10's.

I think we should trust gray as DM.

We have no midfield as it is, but at least having a litte terrier in there might provide some kind of cover for the defence.... And if you need some experience along side him, then play pentancur.... As he is a bit of good tackler too, as well as good box to box player.

Yeah, this is my biggest criticism of Ange. I love that he has an attacking philosophy, but he needs to be more pragmatic about the way we play. He has to be able to make adjustments and be smarter with game management.

He can and should adjust and he can and should tweek our gameplan, and it won’t take anything away from the way he wants us to play - on the contrary, it will enhance the positive aspects of his philosophy.

His stubbornness could very well be his downfall.
 
This post match wash up is depressing because it’s one hundred per cent true. We’re going nowhere with the current structure of the club both on and off the pitch. I found myself agreeing with everything Carragher in particular said.
