The Dawson bereavement is on twitter but can't pinpoint where it has come from. Huddlestone and Bentley appear to be out of the squad (again according to rumours?), for whatever reason?
For anyone that's paid attention during pre season it's obvious that Hudd either doesn't fit with what AVB wants or needs to improve his mobility and fitness. He didn't feature at all against Valencia, why would he suddenly start tomorrow?
As for Bentley, My guess for the bench tomorrow is Gallas or Caulker, Naughton, one of Jenas/Livermore/Sandro, VDV, Townsend, Kane. Guess Gio would be on there if 100% fit. There's also Bassong, Carroll, Rose.
I paid attention and that was certainly evident to me. Probably didn't help his cause that he gave away some pretty shocking passes. Nevertheless I am still surprised that he could not even make the squad, so not about him starting but not even travelled! Indeed, Jenas may fit the model AVB wants but it was also evident during pre-season that his game is well below the standards we have come to expect over the past few seasons - yet according to preseason he may well start tomorrow? In other words everything is clear as mud right now, hopefully that throws Pardew off!

Gregs had a bottle of pop again!!!
that central midfield is very promising. We all know how good Cabaye is, someone I wouldn't even mind replacing Modric. Tiote is solid as a rock, they missed them two badly at White Hart Lane last season and of course Anita is of unknown quantity in the Premier League but if it's anything to go by with Pardew's previous signings, he'll be a hit.
