***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs KAA Gent - 2nd Leg***

It is, and it isn't. With the latter option, at least you're not deluded with hope that you'll stop being the archetypical bottlers - you're so f*cked no one particularly cares enough to even stereotype you. Your team is a blank slate, on which great successes or great failures can be forged some day.

With Spurs, we're well known enough that the 'bottlers' tag sticks - with good reason, it sometimes seems.

Maybe my views on this are clouded by having a Blackpool supporting mate who gives me short shrift when I complain about Spurs.

No way. That's just not a considered rational tackle. He loses his head, simple as that.

You might see it as unfair considering previous decisions by the ref. But that's very different.
I'm not suggesting he's stopped and thought about it.

More that the ref sets the conditions and without stopping fouls it will ramp up along with tempers. I think if cards are being rightly shown then players will be more cautious. If the ref isn't even blowing for fouls then players won't be.

If he has ended our participation in the BT Sport 5 circus then he's done us all all favour.

So, you are simultaneously angry with the referee for treating us unfairly -- and happy with Alli for (likely) ending our participation in the competition?

I'll leave you to it.

Is the ref to blame for Wanyama losing the ball? Or Pochettino being tactically outclassed again in Europe?

That doesn't in any way defend what Alli did though.
