I agree, would be a decent sub for sure. Alli has been in charge of this game until that yellow, and he has since then managed to maintain influence whilst holding back a bit. I think they will target him for a second yellow if they can.

Yeah. Thought it was a penalty. Thought Davies did well in that he didn't throw himself to the ground like a diver, but made it look clear that he lost his balance from the tackle and contact.
Well taken. Good to get the goal.
This one time, against Crystal Palace, he tried to keepy-up turn 180 degrees while chipping the ball over the opponent and volley it home from 20 yards. Ridiculous thing to try. Could easily have ended up losing possession.

Even earlier would be fine with me...
Looking excellent. They had their two chances which perhaps were a bit soft from us to concede. But we're clearly the better team on the pitch and truly dominant for long periods while also creating decent chances and half chances with a good frequency. Just margins away from some bigger chances several times.

Great pressing game in the first half. It's ironic that Fiorentina have had more clear cut chances than us, as they haven't been much of a threat. We're a bit too slow with our decision making in the final third. A bit more directness, and we'd have a few more shots on. Davies doing well down the left. Alli has been immense (how good was that run where he got tackled by two guys?). Alderweireld is really our unsung hero - what a player! A bit of a weird duck he did on their first chance though, but overall just so solid. Mason needs to surge forward more as he usually does.

What's the situation with Bentaleb? Someone posted earlier saying something along the lines of him being unavailable?
If he is available it really worries me that he isn't even in the squad today.
Alli could have been sent off for that little kick out but equally that flailing elbow from the Fiorentina player later in the half was also a straight red... swings and roundabouts finally seem to be working on an even kilter for us!
Such a comfortable first half bar the Bernardeschi chance... I could get used to this! Would like to see a bit more cutting edge though.

Not that he would necessarily know anything, but Erik Thorstvedt was on Norwegian TV after the City-match saying something about Bentaleb being in the process of being weeded out of the squad. Probably just him speculating though.

same here, heart rate down in the 60's, was over 100 in the second half on Sunday
Worringly that is what it looks like. He looked so promising last year and is still only 20/21.

Oh for sure, just saying how different it feels watching both matches. Definitely prefer being at matches than watching on the telly or a river. I know the Swansea match will be tense, but actually being there for that one would be as bad as what we went through sat at home last Sunday.

Wonder what the views of people would be if he did this and cost us a goal? I am not looking for things to complain about i am just worried about a lad doing unnecessary flicks when he doesn't need to.
