****OMT***** Tottenham Hotspur vs. Crystal Palace - 11/01/14: 3pm

Why does it take us so long to get into the groove of a game? And Soldado now consistantly seems to be the worst part of Berbatov in his movement/application.

With the team set up like this you're kind of saying to Eriksen: You are the special one, you are the free man that can go inside and be a spare open pass, you can drift inbetween the lines, we'll all cover for you because you're so good... but today he has done less than nothing.

And I agree that the 2 strikers have only run about 90 yards all match, terrible effort from them so far. True that Walker has had problems, but Walker has done 9000 yards of work, not 90.

When an attack breaks down, we're very slow getting back. I woudl like to see some of them sprinting back. Instead we're content to leave the back 4 exposed.

Some positives in attack. Work to do on the defense and team shape defending.

i would take bentaleb off for capoue.

if were still invisible in midfield and getting totally overrun, ade off for either holtby or chadli, pushing either chadli or eriksen further forwards depending on the sub.

looks like bentaleb has potential but palace ghost past him like heres not there, distribution shaky from the back too.

matches like this is where 442 is difficult: like for like changes up front wont effect much whilst the midfield is so ineffectual, and taking a striker off for another midfielder seems like a negative change under the cirumstances.

that was a terrible half though. whichever you look at it.

It really isn't.

The main problem is that we're playing 2 strikers that are not helping the midfield...the gap between the strikers and midfield is ridiculous.

Dembele and Bentaleb look to similar to me. Neither get up and support the forwards much and hold their positions a lot

100% agree I'm Eriksen's biggest fan but its not happening for him today. I'd like to see Holtby out the left. Holtby could help bring in some intensity and closing them down.

Mediocre performance from Spurs.

We will lose this unless Sherwood makes some drastic changes for the second half.
