But then we want to keep playing a high line, high pressure game. I don't think we (Ange, not the fans) can complain our players are tired and then expect them to go out and cover so much ground.

I know he wants to keep playing the same way for the long term benefits, but the short term is catching up on him.

Not sure how else you play when you play a team who don’t want the ball
They are an old school side and will ping the ball back to you to attack them again

Bentancur has had a break. Son had a game on the bench. Solanke had a game out. Johnson’s had a spell on the bench. Maddison has been in and out. Deki started a game on the bench.

I get these lads will be a bit tired but they’ve all been on the bench at times or hooked in other games. We did fudge all worth talking about offensively today. When you hang your hat on being an attacking manager, and you’re losing games while creating very little, you’re in trouble.

Have our players played all that much more than Woolwich’s or The Dippers?

Our players have but the player with the most minutes was VVD when I last looked

Exactly it's all rubbish excuses from fans and Ange. He's got the youth but won't use them.

Deal with what you've got, but he's stubborn and the football actually isn't entertaining at all.

I preferred Conte and Mourinho football to this. It's so boring.

we've not used the league cup to rest players either

Ange has had plenty of opportunities, he's chosen to run them into the ground

Thing is, GK and CBs aside, that's a strong team for us today.

We extensively discussed not having a back up GK in the summer.
But we used our three first choice FBs today.
Drag is our joint 3rd choice CB.

That's not bare bones. It's not like we're having to rely on kids.
I'm not saying losing Vic, VdV and Romero shouldn't have an impact - it should. But it shouldn't be as bad as it is.

We need something to lift us up.

They defended well, but we give teams all the time they need to get back, and then try and walk the ball through a crowded area.

We don't have the wide players who can drive into the box and cause issues. Odobert, maybe, but not fit.

Or try taking shots from further back, get them to step out.

It’s a strong team on paper
But not on energy
And as I’ve said loads we started with 10 men cos we have a ghost ok the left
Against a low block you need to be smarter and we wasted so much ball by not passing quickly
Kulu was bad too and that hurts us as he is the attacking driver
It will be worst potentially vs wokves with the loss of Spence and Drago
