Poor guys. Feel for themFull strength? They haven't had a breather in 2 months!

Other point is, we were pretty much at full strength offensively and never looked like overwhelming them, stretching them or creating enough pressure to make them crack.
It's disappointing for sure, but it's no wonder we look down on energy, because we are. As long as we basically only have 13-14 players to choose from, who have played non stop for 2 months, I know we can't really compete, and results will be hard to come by.
DunnoThe line up was fine, better that what we saw
Would still prefer that and be in the position they are in than us!Could be worse. Could have lost 5 minutes into stoppage time, at home to Fulham, like Chelsea just did.
Not sure how else you play when you play a team who don’t want the ballBut then we want to keep playing a high line, high pressure game. I don't think we (Ange, not the fans) can complain our players are tired and then expect them to go out and cover so much ground.
I know he wants to keep playing the same way for the long term benefits, but the short term is catching up on him.
Bentancur has had a break. Son had a game on the bench. Solanke had a game out. Johnson’s had a spell on the bench. Maddison has been in and out. Deki started a game on the bench.Full strength? They haven't had a breather in 2 months!
Our players have but the player with the most minutes was VVD when I last lookedBentancur has had a break. Son had a game on the bench. Solanke had a game out. Johnson’s had a spell on the bench. Maddison has been in and out. Deki started a game on the bench.
I get these lads will be a bit tired but they’ve all been on the bench at times or hooked in other games. We did fudge all worth talking about offensively today. When you hang your hat on being an attacking manager, and you’re losing games, you’re in trouble.
Have our players played all that much more than Woolwich’s or The Dippers?
Haven’t lost a boxing day game since 2004 apparently
Exactly it's all rubbish excuses from fans and Ange. He's got the youth but won't use them.Bentancur has had a break. Son had a game on the bench. Solanke had a game out. Johnson’s had a spell on the bench. Maddison has been in and out. Deki started a game on the bench.

Salah has played a lot of minutes too hasn’t he? Can’t be that much less than our lads. Our players have but the player with the most minutes was VVD when I last looked

Wow lost 13 of last 24 league games commentary just said, that's appalling
Apparently before today we have lost 13 of our last 24 games in the prem. How can anyone defend that?
Just so you know, we're about to be below West Ham....
dismal dismal dismal.
I get criticism of Ange for today but I hope this isn’t thrown out as evidence against him. That’s just a statistical anomaly. Our first Boxing Day defeat since Pleat’s team lost 0-2 at Redknapp’s Portsmouth
Thing is, GK and CBs aside, that's a strong team for us today.Chelsea can’t rest half the team at the moment
Not sure how else you play when you play a team who don’t want the ball
They are an old school side and will ping the ball back to you to attack them again
It’s a strong team on paperThing is, GK and CBs aside, that's a strong team for us today.
We extensively discussed not having a back up GK in the summer.
But we used our three first choice FBs today.
Drag is our joint 3rd choice CB.
Porro
Udogie
Spence
Drag
Sarr
Bentancur
Son
Kulu
Solanke
Maddison
Johnson
That's not bare bones. It's not like we're having to rely on kids.
I'm not saying losing Vic, VdV and Romero shouldn't have an impact - it should. But it shouldn't be as bad as it is.
We need something to lift us up.
YepThey defended well, but we give teams all the time they need to get back, and then try and walk the ball through a crowded area.
We don't have the wide players who can drive into the box and cause issues. Odobert, maybe, but not fit.
Or try taking shots from further back, get them to step out.
No more than we deserveOur first Boxing Day defeat since Pleat’s team lost 0-2 at Redknapp’s Portsmouth

More worrying was the performance and the fact we’ve lost 14 league games in 25 (and 9 in 18 this season).
