*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United ***

Ange Postecoglou is talking to Sky Sports now - we'll bring you the best of his quotes soon.

"You're sort of suggesting I asked the players to make those mistakes," he says
He does accept though that players will make mistakes when tired. Therefore the really successful coaches use certain tactics to mitigate those especially when it's late in the game. We just have to accept this is how he's going to play. I would love it if he won a trophy with us playing this way

He’s asking players to play in a style that invites those mistakes. There is no need for it at 3-0.

He’s playing to players’ weaknesses (i.e. Forster). That’s bad management. But it is entertaining and it is interesting.

We played some lovely football tonight, there were three or four outstanding players, only two howlers by the keeper standing between utd and a hiding.
Yet you'd think we'd lost and been torn a new one.
Can you give me a summary. I didn't get to see the game properly. Who stood out?

If not for Forster this would not be a close game… the time we got 3-0 when they made changes would kill them, but when Forster gave them a line they got the energy they needed. Dont think Spurs Are killing you, it makes your hart stronger
But it was hard to see Forster leaving the pit right after the game, think this was hard on him

Then you just invite pressure. We wouldn't have scored the 4th. And we'd have probably lost.

Can I ask, you must have loved Conte's tenure?
We didn't need a 4th if we controlled the game properly.

It's not only Contes way or Anges way, there's a balance. I'm not asking to change the overall style, just tweak it during the game depending on the situation. I don't know how many times it was highlighted about Bruno being free on our right with Porro nowhere to be seen. Just tweak it to stop that. Spence was getting great joy down the left, no need to commit Porro too. A 2 or 3 goal lead, there's no need to chase another, just look to be more solid and see out the game.

Bissouma was on it. Faded a bit as he tired after 75, and he didn't manage to get his head on the cross that got their 3rd.

Solanke for scoring two and being ultra sharp. The first he was alert and clinical. His second, he finished like Kane. Strong, skillful, deadly.

Spence - fresh, very positive, and has an ability to make a good through ball and assist.

People said the exact same about Pochettino.

Honestly think some people just want to see hoofball, boggy pitches, and chopper Harris ending careers.

And I think the 3rd, Reguilon doesn't do enough to challenge.
Not a surprise with how long he hasn't played for

Forster would end up banished like Werner if he hoofed it!
Thats what bugs me so much.I know the players are coached to keep possession and play out from the back but its down to the player to see its not possible to do and then hoof it. How many times did Forster play it out to players who were either not expecting it or being pressed but most of the time got away with it
