*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United ***

Well, the additional revenue from our stadium has not improved our NET spend. We do however compete with most clubs financially, and our share holders do very well out of it. All supporters are the same, ultimately it's the results that matter. Winning 1-0 every week is far better than losing 6-5 every week, however, there are indeed some supporters who think differently

I don't think any fans think losing every week is acceptable and virtually every fan think winning is great no matter how we play and what the score is. I'm too old for this game I started watching as it was fun and didn't know or care who owned the club or expect to win any trophies, I don't think I'd have ever played the game if I had the same expectations that most fans have of the game.

I'm not sure why you think our net spend hasn't improved. This 5 year period we've spent half a billion euros, net spending including through COVID. We only spent just over a hundred million in the previous 5 years, and that was hugely supplemented by the champions league incremental revenues. I would say it is quite the opposite. The stadium has elevated us to an entire new spending league.

I guess the problem is that we got ourselves into a right old mess and spending half a billion has only just got us back to par. My feeling is that if we keep spending at this rate, we'll soon notice the change. I don't think we're spending badly either.

After the first ten games of last season Ange's record was close to relegation material. His first 12 games this season were worse than Nuno's, when he got sacked. We have lost about 50% of the games played this season, yet Conte or Jose never lost more than 25%. We are 11th at Christmas, which is the worst start for 18 years. Our football is like watching kids on a playground. I'm not sure what you consider is acceptable, but surely you can't believe this is?

Regards injuries. Our record before the injuries was actually no better than since. You could give this man Liverpool's squad and he would still struggle to get top 6. I agree we won't get relegated this season, but we won't finish top half either. You may find this acceptable, I don't!

It’s not about finding things ‘acceptable’ at this moment in time, it’s about applying context and gauging if the direction is right.
I’ll tell you a lot more about what I consider ‘acceptable’ when the manager has a consistent ‘acceptable’ amount of to players to choose from. I YOU pine for the days of Mourinho and Conte, so be it. I don’t. A pair of tossers and trumpers who came here to get paid IMO. In fact, your much-quoted Conte committed one of the most unacceptable football crimes I can remember when we played Milan at home in the CL needing a win and he simply would not go for it/‘modify his ways’ to actually try and WIN the game.

The very fact we used to win trophies,
When did we "use to win trophies"? We're nowhere near the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, United. They use to win trophies, we don't. We got some at random intervals 40 years ago and before, but we're not a club that has ever been scooping up trophy's left, right and centre.
But we might do it this season. We're in with a shout in 3 competitions! Usually, we've been out of all of them at this time, with some exceptions, as one would expect from a club like Spurs.
