I disagree with that. We’ve all seen Arsenal fans boo their own players and we saw how massively divided their fanbase for years towards the end of Wenger’s reign. Chelsea aren’t exactly known for being patient but it works for them for some weird reason. West Ham fans aren’t exactly pulling in the same direction re Moyes. I’d say United fans are arguably more patient. People say Liverpool fans are but they definitely weren’t all on side when Hodgson was their manager. It’s going to be a struggle to get our fanbase untied when we’ve been had so many years of being unsuccessful in terms of trophies, throw in some managers who play crap football as well. I’ve always said on the commercial side our club are brilliant. On the football side is where they let themselves down and that’s the bit we support the club for. When you say fans aren’t patient, I think that’s an overall lack of confidence in Levy and ENIC when the majority of managers they’re hired haven’t worked. It literally only took 2-3 games of us winning and playing swashbuckling football at the start of the season for everyone to get behind Ange. I’ll give you that football fans are fickle and maybe they are part of the problem, but the bigger problem is Levy’s impatience and not wanting to give managers more time as Finney points out.

And we expect the impossible because we pay more… we’re Tottenham… we’re in London
I’m fudged if I get why and that’s not really relevant
In football only a very very few amount of teams can win anything at any point and that’s the measure of success
West Ham fans are flipping on Motes because of the football but they celebrate being European champions
Chelsea may well be different because they have won things and their fan base has changed significantly because of it
I think our fan base would be different if we had won things. But is also thing we have a special type of fan.. entitled is a word I would use too
Entitled? We haven't won anything of note for 34 years.
EnTITLED. We are the opposite of that. The law of averages for a club our size says we should have won an FA cup at least once under Levy and ENIC. I personally think he is the problem with the club. It's hardly a contentious opinion. It's basically counting at this stage.

I’ve seen our fans leave at half time
I’ve seen us win 4 nil and have people complain
I’ve been in the ground and heard so called fans main about a player who wasn’t even playing
And how early did they leave? After the second goal, late in the game. They aren’t perfect, but they aren’t as bad as a lot of our fans
It’s why we can’t even get a protest going. The fans have got no will for the fight on and off the pitch but then expect things
If people aren’t happy with the owners.. do a proper protest
If people aren’t happy with the prices.. do a real protest (30 balloons bouncing around the stand ain’t it)
And if your unhappy with the team but say you know we need a rebuild.. don’t react when the rebuild is starting

That’s a very select group of players to find a fault in and they are clearly all Levy’s buys
It will be the same at other clubs. We’re not unique, you just see it as you’re a Tottenham fan.

Except in football when the most vocal people actually have the least influence
So you're saying we aren't a club equal to the size of say Arsenal? Leicester? West Ham? We don't have the same amount of money to spend? There is a reason why we are a banter club.

Ah stop will you. Every club gets stick for stuff off rival fans. There are a lot of clubs who would love to be in our position.
But you said we flip more than any other club’s fans.

For some reason, I found our first-half performance even less enoyable than the one against Chelsea but there seems to be a general agreement that we have to deal with a mix of players who have been under-performing since they returned from injury and a couple of people who seem to have dropped their heads. It would have been nice to have Champions League football next season but this could turn out to be a blessing in disguise if we're not ready anyway.
Regarding Postecoglou's perceived 'stubborness' I have to admit that I'm sitting on the fence. Keeping the same system on through thick and thin and showing the players you believe in it until the end is a bit of a gamble but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It all depends on how things are going within the squad and that's something none of us know for sure.
The past few months have been a drag, for sure, but we've been doing fairly well in the transfer market recently and if we get the right players in, who knows? He's certainly showed enough to be given another season. It would be pointless to sack him at this point, I think.
It's a bit of a cliché but football has changed so much these past 10 years or so that sometimes, I wonder if we judge managers fairly. They don't seem to have as much control over what goes on in a club as they used to.
